A woman in Florida was charged after she reportedly got upset with her significant other and tossed her spaghetti dinner at the man during an argument.
44-year-old Melissa Daigle and her husband have been married for 20 years.
In 2021, the couple has had interactions with the authorities for alleged domestic violence infractions on more than one occasion.
Approximately five months ago, the Largo woman was arrested when she allegedly threw car keys in her husband’s face after spitting at him. The charges were dropped when the authorities decided that they were not interested in prosecuting Daigle.
Around 8:00 pm on September 1, Daigle and her husband were about to sit down to have a spaghetti dinner with their grown children.
The pair were having a disagreement about Daigle’s belief that her husband “did not defend her recent actions to others.” The behavior being disputed in the debate was not disclosed, but the situation reportedly intensified.
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office was notified, and deputies were sent to the residence.
When they arrived at the home, the police report reflected that the officers saw that Daigle’s husband still had sauce on him. They noted that they believed the man’s wife “threw her dinner, a plate of spaghetti, on the victim’s torso and lap.” It was also considered that her consumption of alcohol might have played a part in her alleged outburst.
Daigle was taken into custody and booked into the Pinellas County Jail. She is expected to face charges for suspicion of domestic battery.
The woman has been ordered to wear an alcohol monitoring device. She is also not allowed to contact her husband in any way.
