A fire that burned an apartment building in Milwaukee reportedly started over a tenant’s issue with marijuana smoke.

According to authorities, the incident happened early in the morning on January 17 at an apartment complex on the south side of the city. The fire was reported just after 6 a.m., and firefighters arrived about 30 minutes later. By then, the fire had already spread through parts of the building, forcing emergency crews to rescue several residents from the second floor.

Investigators later determined the fire was intentionally set. Officials said the blaze started near the front entrance of the building, where fire damage and burn patterns pointed to the use of an accelerant.

A woman in Utah was arrested for causing mayhem at a gas station after she allegedly used an accelerant to set her boyfriend and his vehicle on fire.

On June 27, a 23-year-old woman and her boyfriend were in the man’s vehicle at a 7-Eleven gas station located in Midvale. They appeared to be having a verbal disagreement that allegedly turned violent. Others in the vicinity reportedly saw the woman spark what they believed was a lighter before the man got out with his clothing on fire. The car was also ignited. The woman reportedly left the scene immediately.

Officers from the Unified Police Department showed up to investigate, and they collected the video recorded from the surveillance camera and reviewed the footage to see what it captured. They reported that they saw what appeared to be a woman igniting a man’s clothing and vehicle after pouring something on them. As reported by witnesses, with his clothing and car ablaze, the man began running around until someone approached and put out the flames with a fire extinguisher.
