A student who attends high school in northwest Florida is facing legal and academic penalties after an alleged fight with a staff member turned physically violent.

On the afternoon of September 18, students from Lincoln High School in Tallahassee headed to the cafeteria during their lunch break. A woman who works as a hall monitor at the school was scolding two female students over behaving disrespectfully, and the woman used her phone to snap a picture of the girls. She told them she took the photo so she could show it to their basketball coach as proof of their unacceptable behavior.

One of the girls reportedly tried to take the woman’s phone out of her hand, and the situation began to escalate. A brawl between the student and the hall monitor broke out, and they both ended up on the floor. According to reports, the hall monitor was seen kicking the student in the head until other students stepped in and tried to separate the pair. The girl began walking away, and the hall monitor allegedly grabbed her by the hair. The student reportedly started punching the woman.

A temp cafeteria worker at a Louisiana high school was arrested and charged after allegedly selling homemade marijuana edibles to some of the students. 

Last week, a woman from Kentwood who was placed as a temporary worker by the ESS Staffing Agency in the cafeteria at Sumner High School in the Tangipahoa Parish School System reportedly brought home baked sweets to the campus. 

It was reported that one of the students at the school bought a treat from the woman, and they believed the woman was selling handcrafted marijuana edibles.

The mother of a high school student is facing charges after it was asserted that she left a voicemail message threatening to blow up the school due to the size of the school lunch portions. 

41-year-old Anaya Metoya Smith is the mother of a boy who previously attended Cocoa High School in Cocoa, Florida. 

On February 3, Smith’s child reportedly voiced his displeasure to the cafeteria worker over the size of his lunch portion.

A mother who reportedly wore a boxing glove to a middle school campus is facing charges after allegedly brawling with and injuring a student in the cafeteria.

Edith Riddle is the 34-year-old mother to a girl enrolled at Dupont Middle School in Jacksonville.

During the school day on March 19, Riddle met with the principal to discuss her daughter’s behavior.
