A Kentucky man accused of driving under the influence was arrested at his residence after reportedly crashing into an Amish buggy and leaving the scene without helping the dad and three children in the carriage.

On July 24, a man was driving a Toyota Camry on State Highway 11 at the same time and place that a man and three children were riding in an Amish buggy. According to reports, onlookers saw the car collide with the buggy, causing the horse to run away with the carriage. They reported that the driver of the car only stayed long enough to inspect his vehicle before he left the scene. The authorities were notified, and law enforcement and ambulances went to the location. They noted that the youngsters were injured and needed medical attention, and they were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department found the 21-year-old suspect at his home, and they reported that the car they believed he was driving during the incident was covered with a tarp. He allegedly smelled like alcohol when he was taken into custody. After a trip to the hospital, he was booked on multiple preliminary charges, including four counts of first-degree assault, tampering with physical evidence, leaving the scene of an accident, failing to render aid, reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol – first offense, driving on a suspended license, and failing to maintain insurance on his vehicle. The man had his blood drawn to check his BAC, but at the time this was written, the results were unknown.

The Civilian Division Chief of the Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Department is facing charges after allegedly driving under the influence and crashing his car into another vehicle.

Late in the evening on July 6, the 50-year-old man was reportedly driving his county-issued Toyota Camry in Kendall, Florida, when he was involved in a car accident with an SUV with two people inside. The authorities were notified, and troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol went to the location to assist and investigate. When they got there, they noted that a woman had been driving the SUV, and her teenage daughter was in the passenger seat when the crash occurred. When the driver talked to a trooper, she told them it was the man who was driving the other car that caused the accident.

According to reports, the man, identified as the chief of Miami-Dade Corrections, was asleep in the passenger seat when troopers found him. He allegedly smelled like alcohol, and when he woke up and talked to the troopers, he reportedly showed several indicators of possible intoxication. He allegedly told the troopers he had a few drinks, and his breath test showed a BAC of .236 and .231.

Three Florida men were arrested after a pedestrian who was standing behind a parked vehicle lost the lower part of his leg when he was run into by an allegedly intoxicated driver.

According to reports, early in the morning on March 26, a 25-year-old man was driving a Camry in Tampa with a couple of his friends in the car. The vehicle reportedly collided with a parked car and a 27-year-old pedestrian. The impact of the accident severed the man’s leg below his knee, and the parked vehicle was horribly damaged. The authorities were notified, and officers from the Tampa Police Department went to the site to investigate the incident.

The wounded man was immediately taken to the hospital for medical treatment, and when officers talked to the man identified as the driver, they believed he was intoxicated. The man and his friends allegedly gave them a hard time, and one of them reportedly hit him and one of the officers. Two men were arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after police saw them on the side of the road attempting to get one of their vehicles out of the mud.

Just after 1:00 am on January 24, two men who had allegedly been drinking together at a bar in Evansville, Indiana, were driving down the interstate in separate vehicles after leaving the establishment at the same time.

One man was driving a Camry, and the other was driving a Dakota truck. According to reports, the Camry veered off the road and got stuck in the mud on the shoulder. The man in the Dakota pulled over to see if he could help.

A Wilmington man suspected of his third DUI allegedly bit a K9 and injured two additional officers during his arrest.

Around 1:30 AM on July 8, an officer from the Delaware State Police reportedly saw a Toyota Camry speeding on the Philadelphia Pike.

The officer performed a traffic stop, and the driver pulled into a parking lot before coming to a halt.

A teen accused of driving under the influence after crashing his car in Santa Rosa was allegedly found with drugs and a ghost gun in his residence.

19-year-old Luis Fajardo Melgoza lives in Santa Rosa, California.

Around 6:30 am on July 25, Melgoza was driving locally in a gray Honda Accord.

A group of people taking part in a peaceful protest in Iowa City were reportedly interrupted by a man who drove his vehicle into the gathering and injured some of the attendees.

Last Tuesday, a group of people was taking part in a protest march put together by the Iowa Freedom Riders.

Just before 8:30 pm, a Toyota Camry with a male driver and the headlights off reportedly barreled into the area where the people were standing.
