A Cook County Board of Review Commissioner was arrested after the police believed she was driving under the influence when they responded to a car accident that she was accused of causing.

On the evening of November 10, an accident involving a Dodge Charger and a parked Subaru Forester occurred on the North Side of Chicago. Both vehicles were badly damaged, and the driver of the Charger ended up lying on the sidewalk. When officers from the Chicago Police Department arrived, the woman was still on the ground.

The police identified the woman as 44-year-old Cook County Board of Review Commissioner Samantha Steele. When they started talking to her about the wreck, the officers reported that her breath smelled like alcohol, and she showed several indicators of intoxication. She was asked to take roadside sobriety tests, but she did not consent. The police asked Steele if she had been drinking, and she informed them that she was not going to talk to them until she had an attorney present. They searched her vehicle and reported that they found an open bottle of wine on the floor.

A Utah teenager is being held without bail after allegedly driving recklessly while under the influence and forcing the police to chase him while he drove over 120 MPH.

On September 13, an 18-year-old with a learner’s permit was driving a Dodge Charger with three passengers in the vehicle. He pulled into a Maverick gas station and parked in front of a pump. The car reportedly had no license plate, and it caught the attention of an officer from the Santaquin Police Department. As soon as the Charger left the parking lot, the officer got behind it and tried to initiate a traffic stop.

According to reports, instead of pulling over, the driver entered the onramp to I-15. The officer continued to follow, and he noted that the vehicle was being driven over 120 MPH. The driver entered an offramp, and the car slid down an embankment. The people in the automobile reportedly began running, but the police quickly caught them.

When the police tried to break up a street race and pulled over one of the involved cars, two men were arrested for allegedly driving under the influence and having drugs in the vehicle.

On the evening of January 27, a Fort Meyers car club was reportedly looking for a spot to hold a race. It was reported that they picked their spot, and a Charger matched with a pickup truck prepared to go head-to-head.

A deputy from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office was parked in a lot close by, and he noticed the activity but did not immediately intervene. When the drivers allegedly went speeding past the deputy at 75 MPH, he noted the Charger did not stay in its designated lane.

A man in Las Vegas was arrested on 17 counts after allegedly driving 90 MPH while under the influence and evading pursuing officers three times with the aid of inclement weather.

Late in the night on August 18, a 20-year-old was driving a purple Dodge Charger in Tulle Springs, and the car was allegedly sans license plates.

An officer from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department was on patrol in the area, and they were driving an unmarked vehicle. The officer followed the car and spotted several people in a parking lot. The driver of the Charger pulled into the lot and allegedly did a 100-foot burnout.

Two Florida men were jailed and charged after the police believed they were responsible for a robbery involving the taking of several high-end vehicles and personal items from a private home.

According to reports, early in the morning on June 2, a residence in Parkland was robbed by two men who smashed a glass window to break in.

The home has two garages where the owners store several cars, including a 2020 Lamborghini Urus, 2022 Ferrari F9, 2021 Mercedes AMG GT, 2022 Mercedes Maybach, and a 2022 Dodge Charger Hellcat.

A man accused of carrying a gun around in an apartment complex was taken into custody after the police chased him and allegedly found him in possession of drugs and the firearm. 

Late in the morning on August 26, someone called the authorities and told them that a man holding a firearm was walking around their apartment complex. 

Officers with the Portage Police Department went to the reported address to investigate.

Wrestler Jeff Hardy from AEW was arrested for his third DUI in less than ten years after the police allegedly found him behind the wheel with a blood-alcohol level more than triple the legal limit. 

44-year-old Jeff Hardy began his wrestling career in 1994 and became notorious for his work with the WWE. He is currently a professional wrestler with All Elite Wrestling (AEW). 

Last week, Hardy was in Florida for a scheduled wrestling match.

A Tennessee man with a purported case of road rage allegedly pretended he was a police officer and pointed a pistol at another driver.

On the evening of June 27, Clifford Polly Jr., 24, was reportedly driving a black Dodge Charger in the Nashville area. The man, who says he is employed in a security position with a local company, was dressed in a security guard uniform.

While traveling in the vehicle, Polly reportedly had a problem with the driver of another automobile on the road. The man allegedly developed road rage and reportedly decided to interact with the driver of the other car.
