After reportedly making a false police report, the parents of three children are facing multiple charges after the authorities allegedly found their residence in a horribly unkempt state full of roaches and rat droppings, in addition to mold in the refrigerator.

On January 22, the 38-year-old mother of an 11-year-old reportedly called the police to report that someone struck her child with their vehicle while he was outside riding on his skateboard. When the police responded, they talked to the driver, who said they did not hit the child. Surveillance cameras in the area appeared to confirm that the boy was not struck by the vehicle. When the police talked to his mother, she reportedly said she didn’t see the event happen.

The following afternoon, officers from the Bunnell Police Department returned to the location after receiving a call about the woman fighting with a neighbor. When they arrived, they went into the residence where the mother and her boyfriend lived with their three children. They reported that they discovered roaches all over the kitchen, which was full of dirty dishes and very little food.
