A Colorado man suspected of stealing several thousands of dollars worth of tools from a business allegedly tried to escape the authorities by calling an Uber to pick him up.

On December 28, the owner of Blue Sky Plumbing in Wheat Ridge arrived at his business and found a hole in the fence that surrounds the property. The man checked the surveillance video and saw footage of someone stealing goods from the store. He notified the authorities, and officers from the Wheat Ridge Police Department went to the location.

An Uber vehicle was parked nearby with the driver inside, so the police decided to stop and speak to him. He told the officers he was waiting for a passenger and said the potential rider’s name was Jose. He saw someone approaching and informed them that he believed it was him.

Tennessee Titans running back Hassan Haskins and his now ex-girlfriend were arrested for domestic violence offenses after the woman gave another man attention on Instagram, and it caused an explosive argument.

On June 22, Hassan Haskins and his live-in girlfriend were in their Nashville home when the man noticed she clicked “like” on a man’s Instagram post. The internet action caused the pair to argue, and things reportedly became heated.

According to reports, the woman threw Haskins’ shoes in the closet, and the fighting became physical. They allegedly slapped each other, and Haskins reportedly held the woman by the throat for 10 – 15 seconds using both hands. When the fight settled down, Haskins left the house.

A man accused of stealing nearly 5,000 pounds of copper wire from Interstate lights was apprehended when he went into a recycling center while the police were on the premises investigating the same crime. 

31-year-old Clarence Wayne Giles lives in the Charleston area of West Virginia. 

According to the authorities, in March, someone began to steal copper wire from several light poles on Interstates 64 and 77. Due to the missing wires, portions of the roads were dark, causing a potential hazard to the drivers.

A Michigan man allegedly became upset with his brother for poking fun at his ex-wife’s culinary skills and responded by firing a gun at his instigating sibling.

On the evening of June 25, 43-year-old Andrew C. Phelps was hanging out in his garage with his 47-year-old brother.

While the men were talking, Phelps’ brother commented on his ex-wife’s ability to cook. His brother said he was kidding, but Phelps reportedly did not find it funny.
