A 61-year-old woman suffered a fractured nose and facial injuries after authorities said she was punched in the face while walking alone in Miami.

The woman was treated for a fractured nose, lacerations to her left cheek, and injuries that required sutures, according to comments made by a Miami-Dade Circuit Court judge during the suspect’s first court appearance.

Surveillance footage captured the attack in the Little Havana neighborhood on the afternoon of August 6. The woman was walking down the street when a man approached her from the opposite direction. As they passed, authorities said the man swung at her, striking her in the face and knocking her to the ground.

After a string of alleged theft and assault crimes against victims, three perpetrators were caught when they robbed toilet paper and beer from a local market.  

On October 26, a 51-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman were driving in Miami when they saw someone with a flat tire on the side of the road. 

When they pulled up to the man, it was discovered that he and the woman in the vehicle were previously acquainted.
