A Clay County deputy was relieved of his duties after being arrested a second time for allegedly driving while intoxicated, approximately 10 months after a previous DUI.
Last December, the director of corrections for the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office rolled through a stop sign and crashed into another vehicle. He was arrested for driving under the influence, and he pleaded no contest to the charge. His conviction led to his demotion to lieutenant.
On the night of October 15, the deputy was driving in town when his truck reportedly left the road and ended up in a ditch.
