Last weekend, detectives discovered an ice cream truck that they allege was being used to sell illegal drugs throughout the Long Beach area. Two suspects have been apprehended.
41-year-old Monti Ware and 57-year-old George Williams live in Long Beach, and while looking into narcotics activities in the area the authorities came across the men working together inside of an ice cream truck. The vehicle was adorned with signs displaying popular goodies often offered on an ice cream truck, but detectives reportedly found that the pair were using the truck as a front for an illegal drug operation.
When the inside of the ice cream truck was inspected it was reported that it contained up to $4000 worth of drugs in the form of marijuana and methamphetamine, along with a handgun and assorted items that the police believe were intended for packaging drugs that were sold.
