A Kansas man was arrested when he allegedly tried to run away from the police with a backpack after he reportedly crashed his vehicle into a boulder in the parking lot of a sports bar in Wisconsin.

Around 10:30 PM on August 3, a 24-year-old man who lives in Kansas was at the Sidelines Sports Pub and Grill in Janesville. When he left the establishment and reportedly got into his vehicle to drive away, he put the car in reverse and accelerated into a boulder while several people were watching.

After the crash, the driver allegedly grabbed a backpack out of his vehicle and sprinted into a field nearby.

When a man accused of taking a 17-day vacation on another person’s dime by allegedly paying with a stolen credit card was being processed into jail, the authorities reportedly located a live round underneath his testicles.

A man who is a resident of the Bahamas that is recorded as currently living without permanent housing is staying in Miami, Florida. He recently reportedly took a vacation to Indian Rocks Beach for 17 days and paid to stay in a rental residence while on his trip.

It came to light that the man might have used a stolen credit card to pay for his excursion, and the authorities were made aware of the suspicions.

A man in Connecticut was arrested after allegedly shooting a firearm at a residence, and the police followed a trail of footprints in the snow leading from the scene of the incident to his home. 

Early in the morning on February 28, people who live in a home in Bloomfield placed a call to the authorities. They reported that someone had opened fire at their residence. They said a bullet went through a window and into a bedroom in the home. 

Officers with the Bloomfield Police Department went to the residence, and they reportedly found a bullet-sized hole that went through a bedroom window and wall. The bullet reportedly got stuck in the wall in the bathroom on the other side of the bedroom.

Three teenagers in Washington state were taken into custody for running from the police in an allegedly stolen vehicle while intoxicated. 

Just before midnight on February 26, deputies with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department were patrolling in Parkland when they saw a Kia go by that was reportedly being driven over the speed limit. They also believed that the car was being operated unsafely when the driver reportedly began going down the wrong side of the road. 

According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department blotter webpage, deputies had to use stop sticks, and it was believed that the car was going 90 MPH when it hit them. The police additionally used a PIT maneuver to force the driver to slow the car, which had most of its tires deflated. The vehicle spun to a stop, and the driver and two passengers got out.

Last Tuesday, two men in Louisiana who were wanted for multiple theft offenses since last August were taken into custody and jailed for the allegations.

On August 26, 2022, a tree service company in Calhoun found that five of their chainsaws adorned with the company name were missing. They suspected that they had been stolen, and they notified the authorities. The owner believed they knew who swiped the chainsaws when someone who purchased two of them revealed the identities of the men whom they bought them from.

Approximately one month later, on September 20, the West Monroe Police Department received a report that someone broke into a mechanic’s business and burglarized four of the vehicles. The suspect was recognized by the alleged victim when reviewing the surveillance footage, and when they gave the person’s identity to the police, it was believed that the man was one of the same suspects involved in the alleged chainsaw thefts.

The former food service director of an Illinois school district is facing charges after being accused of abusing her position by allegedly stealing $1.5 million worth of chicken wings.  

A woman in Cook County has spent more than a decade working as a food service director for Harvey School District 152. It was reported that one of her regular duties was to place orders with the food suppliers who work with the district. 

Last year, the school district’s budget was audited, and it was reportedly found to be approximately $300,000 over the allotted yearly amount, though the year was only half over.

A mother and daughter in Tennessee have been charged with theft after allegedly stealing a dog that someone left outside in freezing temperatures during a winter storm and refusing to give it back to the owners. 

Around 5:00 PM on December 23, a deputy with the Bluff City Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office went to a home after they received a complaint about an animal. 

It was reported that the temperature outside was eight degrees Fahrenheit, and the deputy saw a female German Shepherd chained up in the backyard. The owners were not at home. The dog was inside of a makeshift shelter constructed with a plastic doghouse, straw, and a tarp. It was not an enclosed structure.

One woman was arrested, and another is being sought in connection with an incident involving a man at a hotel being punched in the face and robbed.

Just before 1:30 AM on January 10, two females were in a room at the Red Roof Inn in LaGrange, Georgia.

According to reports, the women spoke to a man with whom they are familiar and told him to meet them at the hotel room. The man had his cell phone stolen recently by someone they know, and they told him they wanted to speak to him about it.

Three Florida men from Miami were arrested for allegedly stealing millions of dollars worth of meat from packaging plants in a heist that spanned through several Midwestern states. 

According to reports, in June 2021, many trailers full of frozen meats were stolen in Lancaster County, Nebraska. The reported total loss from the missing products was assessed at $1 M. 

While investigating the situation, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office worked with Homeland Security Investigation, and they discovered that 45 additional pricey meat thefts happened in Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin.

Last weekend, a teenage girl was accused of driving drunk in a stolen truck after she crashed the vehicle and fled from the scene. 

Early in the morning on September 17, the Petaluma police were informed about a single-vehicle accident in the local area involving a Chevrolet truck. 

When officers went to the location, they spoke with people who said they saw the accident as it happened. It was reported that a young female driver smashed the vehicle into a fence.
