A Utah educator was removed from a classroom last month and later charged after a student was injured in an incident involving alcohol that was allegedly brought onto school grounds.

According to the authorities, the situation unfolded on March 18 at a school in the Davis School District. Officials said the teacher had been consuming a hard seltzer concealed in a stainless steel tumbler during class. At some point, a student reportedly took the container and drank from it.

The student, who is developmentally delayed and nonverbal due to a rare genetic condition, was later found to have consumed an unknown amount of the alcoholic beverage. Her parents said it was unclear how much she drank. Shortly afterward, the student reportedly fell at school and struck her head.

A Utah woman was charged after the authorities said she forcibly took an 11-year-old boy from a neighborhood street and brought him to her home over an alleged bullying dispute involving her children.

According to court documents obtained by local media, the incident occurred in September 2025 in a Provo neighborhood. Investigators said the woman had been driving through the area looking for the boy, who she believed had been bullying one of her children.

The affidavit stated that the woman allegedly located the boy while he was riding his bike, blocked his path with her vehicle, and made him get inside. The boy was then allegedly taken to her home without permission from his parents.
