Woman taking “Elixir of Life” Tried to make Fire Truck Disappear

A Florida woman who said she imbibed an “Elixir of Life” potion is facing charges after she allegedly tried to steal a St. Johns County fire truck.

Kailani Jo Kroll is a resident of St. Augustine, Florida.

Late in the evening on August 20, the woman was reportedly on the beach a couple of blocks from her residence.

According to the police report, around 11:00 PM Kroll was “acting erratically and was saying she needed CPR.”

St. Johns County Fire Rescue arrived at the location, and they asked Kroll if she needed medical help.

She confirmed that she did, and the responders tried to take Kroll to the ambulance at the scene.

The woman did not climb into the emergency vehicle, but instead reportedly began running back and forth. She reportedly told an officer at the scene that she was experiencing an anxiety attack.

The officer told Kroll to climb into the ambulance so she could get medical intervention for her ailments. Kroll appeared to flee from the area, but she had not committed a criminal offense so she was free to leave.

After the authorities believed she had run off, Kroll reportedly climbed into the driver’s seat of one of the fire trucks.

The woman was removed from the truck. The authorities asked if she was intoxicated, but Kroll said she was not. She reportedly said she had taken the “Elixir of Life.”

The Elixir of life is legendary in ancient cultures and is said to give the user immortality, endless beauty, and freedom from all disease. It is also associated with the Harry Potter universe.

Kroll allegedly said she was sorry for trying to drive away in the fire truck. She reportedly told the authorities she momentarily lost her marbles.

Kroll was taken into custody and booked into the St. Johns County Jail. She is expected to face charges for felony grand theft auto and misdemeanor resisting law enforcement officers.

Kroll was released after she posted a $2,000 bond.
