The former coach of the West Virginia University basketball team was arrested in June for suspicion of driving under the influence, and he has now entered a diversion program for first-time offenders.

Bob Huggins was the coach of the West Virginia University basketball team from 2007 through 2023.

On the evening of June 16, Huggins was driving in Pittsburgh when police saw his SUV stopped in the middle of the road and impeding other drivers from continuing their travels. One of the tires had blown out, and one of the doors on the vehicle was open, but the man was still sitting inside.

When two drivers in Texas got into a road rage-inspired situation, they both reportedly sprayed each other in the face with white spray paint, and one of them was taken into custody.

On August 4, a man was allegedly driving erratically in Houston in a busy part of the city. The driver was reportedly weaving in and out of his lane. When the man stopped at a traffic light, he reportedly did not immediately proceed when it turned from red to green. The driver of the car behind him tooted their horn in a purported attempt to get his attention.

After both cars were again in motion, the man who reportedly idled at the green light for too long allegedly began to throw items from their car. The items started striking the other vehicle, and the driver believed it was an intentional act. Both cars came to a stop again, and the situation reportedly escalated.

A Michigan woman is facing charges for allegedly shoving a child off a pool toy and calling him names last weekend at a water park.

On the afternoon of July 27, a woman visiting the Cedar Point Shores Waterpark in Sandusky was near the kids’ pool when she reportedly had a negative interaction with a child in front of other guests.

According to reports, the woman knocked a child off a pool toy and spoke inappropriately to the boy by calling him “fat ass” and “a brat.” When his mother became aware of the incident, she got angry and told the woman she owed her son an apology.

A woman in New Jersey is facing charges for allegedly using a family member’s name to write prescriptions for patients while reportedly practicing medicine without a license.

Between March 2022 and June 2023, a 62-year-old woman from Toms River, New Jersey, was reportedly working as a physician out of an office at Shore Medical Associates in Ocean County.

According to reports, the woman was not legally licensed to practice medicine, but she allegedly did so during her time at Shores Medical. She was reportedly using the name and valid medical license number of one of her relatives so she could treat patients and write prescriptions during her time at the facility.

A Louisiana man who got into a single-vehicle accident was arrested for many charges after allegedly battering an officer who was trying to interact with him.

On July 20, a man driving a Chevy Impala crashed his car and immediately exited the vehicle. A Special Agent with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries spotted the man, who allegedly tried to hide in the woods near the crash site.

The Special Agent tried to tell the man to come out of the woods, but he reportedly refused and hit the agent before running away. The agent was able to catch the man, and he held him while he notified the authorities.

When the police apprehended a Florida man for allegedly driving nearly 120 MPH, he reportedly told them he felt like he was living in a video game.

Early in the morning on July 19, a man was driving a Nissan Murano in Naples on Interstate 95. He was reportedly in an area with a marked speed limit of 70 MPH, but the man was allegedly driving much faster than what was legal.

Deputies from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office spotted the vehicle, and they alleged that their radar clocked the vehicle’s speed at 117 MPH.

A man with a prior criminal case in April regarding sexual activity with a horse was arrested again when he was allegedly recently found near two horses with his genitals exposed. 

On April 28, the man was caught at a home in Melrose Township, where he was caught having sex with a horse while feeding it apples.

The result was his being booked into the Adams County Jail on one count of unlawful sexual contact with an animal, a class four felony, one misdemeanor count of criminal trespass to land, and one count of criminal damage of property. After the case was opened, the suspect agreed to plead guilty to criminal damage of property for injuring a domestic animal of another without consent, and prosecutors chose not to pursue the sexual contact with an animal and criminal trespass charges. He received a sentence of time served, two years of probation, and an order for an evaluation of his mental health.

A reportedly angry customer at a Florida restaurant was arrested after she allegedly tried to throw a burrito at a man she was fighting with, but it hit someone else in the face instead.

“Rick’s Reef” is a restaurant located in St. Pete’s Beach and advertises as a family and dog-friendly establishment. Their website describes the place as a “casual dining restaurant serving fresh food made in-house, with a fabulous Florida beach feel.”

On July 12, a 46-year-old woman who lives close to Rick’s Reef went to the restaurant early in the evening. While she was there, the woman’s visit reportedly turned sour. According to the arrest report, she started to yell at the other patrons at the restaurant, and she allegedly began to cause a scene.

A Berwick nurse working at an assisted living facility is facing several charges for accusations of stealing pain medication from patients instead of giving them their doses.

The Celebration Villa of Berwick, described on their website as “a friendly single-story enhanced personal care community in Berwick, PA, just a short drive from Wilkes-Barre,” employs nurses on their staff. Some of the nurses are tasked with giving medications to patients.

It was reported that a 34-year-old nurse at the facility requested to be scheduled to work the overnight shift. If she worked that shift, she would be required to distribute the medications.

When a man accused of taking a 17-day vacation on another person’s dime by allegedly paying with a stolen credit card was being processed into jail, the authorities reportedly located a live round underneath his testicles.

A man who is a resident of the Bahamas that is recorded as currently living without permanent housing is staying in Miami, Florida. He recently reportedly took a vacation to Indian Rocks Beach for 17 days and paid to stay in a rental residence while on his trip.

It came to light that the man might have used a stolen credit card to pay for his excursion, and the authorities were made aware of the suspicions.
