A 43-year-old U.S. Army combat veteran is facing multiple charges after allegedly breaking into the home belonging to the CEO of Beanie Babies and violently attacking a woman.

Late in the afternoon on May 21, the 80-year-old CEO of Beanie Babies and others who live in his Montecito, California, residence were at home when a strange man reportedly walked in. The alleged intruder reportedly said it was his house and ordered everyone to get out before locking himself in a bathroom. The authorities were notified, and they went to the address to see what was going on.

When they arrived, deputies from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office noted that a 60-year-old woman who appeared to be seriously injured was outside the house, and everyone else appeared to have gotten out unharmed. The woman was taken to the hospital, and it was reported that she sustained a brain injury that left her in a coma. The deputies also learned that the suspect was still inside the home. Law enforcement from several agencies went to the scene to assist, and when a crisis intervention specialist tried to coax him out of the restroom, the man reportedly refused.

When a man allegedly took drugs and tried to sexually assault a woman in a field, she was able to alert the authorities about the situation by pretending she was ordering a pizza.

Early in the morning on October 19, a man and woman in Pierson, Florida, went into a local field to hang out and have a few drinks. According to reports, things went south when the man began using cocaine. He allegedly started to get aggressive and reportedly began trying to force the woman to have sex with him against her will.

She found an opportunity to use her phone and pretended she was ordering a pizza, but she dialed 911 instead. The dispatcher confirmed the call was legitimate and began collecting information to give to the police. She said she was unsure of her location, and while she asked for a pizza with pepperoni and extra cheese, the woman was asked if she was injured. She confirmed that she was, and the dispatcher asked if the man had a weapon. Her location was tracked, and deputies from the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office headed to the field to find her.

A man who was previously arrested for allegedly barreling into the crowd at the Bakersfield Christmas Parade with over triple the legal BAC was arrested again last week for reportedly driving under the influence.

On December 7, a 72-year-old man from Bakersfield was parked near the path of the Christmas Parade. It was going to start soon, and crowds were gathering to watch the event when the man reportedly got behind the wheel of his truck and backed up. The vehicle reportedly entered the area where they were standing and struck one of the people, who was seriously injured in the accident.

The police reported that a test revealed his BAC was 0.28, and the man was arrested for four counts of assault with a deadly weapon, two DUI counts, and one count of obstructing or resisting a peace officer.

A septuagenarian in Florida may face legal action after allegedly threatening a child on a bicycle with a knife when he reportedly became upset that the youngster was riding on the sidewalk.

Just after noon on April 8, a 73-year-old man donning a sunhat and dark sunglasses was walking down the sidewalk parallel to a main street in Winter Springs. According to reports, a boy on a bicycle riding down the same sidewalk tried to ride past him. The man allegedly became upset that the youngster was not riding in the designated bike lane, and he pulled a military-style blade out of his pocket. He reportedly pointed it at the child while scolding him. The boy reportedly immediately went home after telling the man that he was sorry, and the authorities were notified about the situation.

Officers from the Winter Springs Police Department went to talk to the child, who told them he was afraid his life was in danger when the man was allegedly wielding the knife. The police set out to locate the alleged perpetrator, and they saw the person they believed was responsible. When the child was asked if the man looked like the person with the knife, he positively identified him as the suspect.

A woman from Park City, Illinois, is facing many charges after being accused of purposely running over her boyfriend with her vehicle, leaving him significantly injured.

According to reports, on October 1, a 27-year-old woman and her boyfriend went to a bar in Wheeling and had some drinks. When they left the establishment, the man was reportedly driving, and his companion was in the passenger’s seat.

While they were motoring through Mundelein, something caused the couple to have a dispute. They continued to argue, and when things intensified, the man pulled into a pizza restaurant’s parking lot. After he parked the car, he got out and began to walk away.

A Wilmington man suspected of his third DUI allegedly bit a K9 and injured two additional officers during his arrest.

Around 1:30 AM on July 8, an officer from the Delaware State Police reportedly saw a Toyota Camry speeding on the Philadelphia Pike.

The officer performed a traffic stop, and the driver pulled into a parking lot before coming to a halt.

A man in Florida is facing charges after allegedly intentionally shooting a missile into a truck, causing it to flip over and leaving the two people inside with life-threatening injuries.

Late in the evening on June 1, a swamp buggy racer and her boyfriend were driving in the Rural Estates section of Naples. The driver of a car behind them allegedly shot what reports have identified as “a missile” into the vehicle. The incident reportedly caused the pickup truck to roll over.

The authorities learned about the single-vehicle car crash, and the Collier County Sheriff’s Department deputies went to the site to investigate.

A Massachusetts man is facing charges after he allegedly struck the window of a man’s vehicle, in addition to hitting and injuring a police officer.

On the evening of April 26, a man without permanent housing was in Ludlow when he and a stranger in a vehicle got into a verbal altercation.

The situation escalated to the point where the man outside the car struck the driver’s side window.

A man from Oklahoma is facing charges after allegedly throwing a reportedly unresponsive woman who was wrapped in a blanket off a fourth-floor balcony. 

Early in the morning on March 18, the authorities were alerted by someone who reported that someone was thrown on the ground from a balcony on a high floor of an apartment complex. 

Officers with the Tulsa Police Department and firefighters went to the address reported, and they discovered a woman on the ground. She appeared to be badly injured. She was wrapped in a blanket, and upon initial investigation, it was suspected that someone had thrown her from the fourth floor.

The pitcher of a minor league baseball team was injured and arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol after he reportedly crashed his car and caused $20,000 in damages. 

23-year-old Konnor Ash is a minor league baseball player who is the current pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies single-A Clearwater Threshers. 

Just before 9:00 PM on March 11, Ash was driving when he was seen by deputies from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s DUI Unit. He was allegedly speeding down the Belleair Causeway in Belleair Cliffs.
