The authorities are planning to charge a 17-year-old as an adult after he allegedly stabbed a co-worker with steak knives for a misunderstanding about a pair of Apple AirPods.

Last Monday, two 17-year-olds who work together at a Regal movie theater in Key West got into a fight.

Approximately one week earlier, one of the young men borrowed a pair of wireless earbuds from someone, and they resembled a pair belonging to the other 17-year-old. He picked up what he thought was the pair of AirPods he borrowed, and they turned out to be the wrong pair. The man said he was going to bring them to work the following day to return them to their rightful owner.

A confidential informant working with the police department allegedly caught a woman employed at a local movie theater selling drugs by concealing them inside of a popcorn bag.

39-year-old Jamie Lynn Hiniker lives in Mankato. She is employed as the manager at Spotlight Theatres in the Mankato Place Mall.

Last summer, the Minnesota River Valley Drug Task Force was investigating claims that drug sales had been taking place at the Spotlight Theater. The authorities believed that Hiniker was involved in the alleged illegal activities.
