Florida Grandmother Accused of Trapping Kids in Restroom

A Florida grandmother was accused of helping trap five juveniles inside a public restroom during an ongoing dispute that allegedly began with a fight involving her granddaughter.

According to the authorities, the conflict started on May 24 at a park in Palm Coast after the 13-year-old girl allegedly attempted to provoke another juvenile into a physical confrontation. A brief fight reportedly followed, and the girl was accused of pulling another child’s hair before the situation was broken up.

Later that evening, the authorities responded to a neighborhood dispute involving the same group. Investigators determined the incident was verbal in nature, and those involved left the area, but the conflict did not end there.

Wyoming Sergeant Accused of Stalking Nurse

A Wyoming police sergeant was accused of stalking and harassing a nurse at a hospital, leading to his arrest and removal from duty, according to court records.

The incident allegedly continued for hours overnight at a hospital in Weston County. Court documents stated that the nurse received repeated phone calls and text messages from the sergeant while he remained outside the facility. The alleged victim reportedly asked him to stop, but the messages allegedly persisted.

According to the affidavit, hospital staff later reported seeing a man believed to be the sergeant outside the building around 3:30 a.m. The individual was reportedly dressed in dark clothing and appeared to be lingering near the hospital.

Woman Called and Harassed Police More Than 11,000 Times

A woman has been accused of placing over 11,000 calls to the local and county emergency communications centers and harassing the staff when they answered.

51-year-old Carla Jefferson lives in St. Petersburg, Florida, and according to an arrest report, she is currently unemployed. She has a lengthy criminal record in Pinellas County. She also served a two-year sentence for a prior conviction.

The authorities reported that since the beginning of 2022, they have received over 11,000 calls from a woman they identified as Jefferson. The caller contacted the emergency communications centers for the St. Petersburg Police Department and the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. The calls reportedly came from two different phone numbers registered to Jefferson.
