A Georgia correctional officer is facing serious felony charges after authorities say he trapped state employees inside a government office during a confrontation over child support payments.

The incident happened on December 18 at the Department of Family and Child Services office in Warner Robins. According to law enforcement, the officer arrived at the building upset about his child support obligations and quickly became aggressive once inside.

Investigators say the situation escalated almost immediately. After entering the office, the man allegedly locked the front door and prevented four employees from leaving. With the exits blocked, he reportedly began yelling at staff members and using profanity while he continued to complain about his payments. Police say he also tried to enter a restricted, employee-only area of the building.
