An 86-year-old woman is facing charges for allegedly bilking a 99-year-old legally disabled veteran who lived in the same retirement community out of $10,000 and successfully concealing it until he passed away.

Holiday Lake Ridge Village is an all-inclusive independent living community in Eustice, Florida. One of the positions at the facility is “ambassador.” The ambassador collects the mail, works on putting together events, and shuttles other residents to appointments. An 86-year-old woman residing in the senior living facility was given the job, and she held it until she moved out in the summer.

While the woman was still living there, a 99-year-old legally blind and deaf veteran was involved in a financial scam that was discovered by his family in June, after the man passed away. His son said he saw unusual activity after he found evidence of a $10,000 cashier’s check drawn from his father’s account and made out to a woman whose name he did not recognize.

A Texas man is facing many charges after allegedly shooting his girlfriend in the foot last month, resulting in her leg being amputated from the injury.

On August 6, a 26-year-old man from San Antonio was hanging out with his 36-year-old girlfriend. According to reports, at the time, the couple had been together for approximately one month.

The man allegedly grabbed a shotgun and pointed it at his girlfriend for reasons not currently made public. He reportedly pulled the trigger, and a bullet struck her in the ankle area of her foot. He left the residence immediately afterward.

A Florida man who was reportedly in a romantic relationship with his cousin was recently arrested for allegedly setting her car on fire in April.

According to reports, on April 29, a 37-year-old man from Miami allegedly lit a Jaguar XE sedan on fire that belonged to his cousin, who was also his girlfriend, on fire while it was parked in front of his house.

When the police learned about the incident and found that the man’s girlfriend was the owner of the vehicle, they tried but were unsuccessful in speaking to her until September 11. When they initially asked her about the car fire, the woman told them the vehicle ignited while she was operating it due to a mechanical issue.

A California woman who used to work for the county behavioral health services in Sierra County has been accused of taking advantage of a client by stealing their financial information and embezzling thousands of dollars while on the job.

Last April, the Sierra County Sheriff’s Office received information about a situation where a woman employed at Sierra County Behavioral Health had allegedly financially exploited one of the clients for thousands of dollars. It was purported that she could do so by using her position of power to access and illegally pilfer funds from the bank cards of a vulnerable person.

During their months-long investigation, the authorities gathered information that caused them to believe they should check the woman’s home for evidence of purchases that could be connected to the allegations.

Two Texas teens are facing multiple charges after allegedly breaking into a home and holding the family who lives there at gunpoint before fleeing and escaping from pursuing police officers.

Late in the evening on September 5, a family, including five adults and three children, were at their home in Beverly Hills, Texas, when two men reportedly forcefully entered without permission.

The alleged intruders reportedly had handguns, and it was reported that they pointed the weapons at the people and threatened to harm them. After allegedly stealing cash and attempting to take a vehicle, the pair took off together in a car.

A Florida man is facing several charges after a social media post claiming he had a new Mercedes caught the attention of the authorities and connected him to a series of theft crimes in Deltona.

Last weekend, the authorities reported that a string of car burglaries had taken place around the Deltona area. Surveillance videos collected from the scenes reportedly showed that the suspects were two individuals in masks and gloves.

One of the vehicles allegedly taken was a Mercedes. Surveillance footage from a nearby gas station showed a male driver with tattoos on his neck and face, and the authorities were able to use the information to identify the suspect.

An 18-year-old wanted for armed robbery in Mississippi was caught in Indiana while allegedly speeding and driving under the influence.

Early in the morning on September 4, a man was driving in Mt. Vernon, Indiana, when the police noticed he was swerving on the road and going twice the 30 MPH posted speed limit. While he allegedly strayed in and out of his lane, he reportedly almost caused an accident with another vehicle and struck a curb.

The police performed a traffic stop, and when they interacted with the driver, they reported that they saw an open alcoholic beverage in the vehicle. They also believed he was intoxicated.

A man on probation for a gun-related conviction was arrested after his ex-girlfriend accused him of breaking into her home and assaulting her when she joked about the size of his penis.

On August 29, a 42-year-old woman was texting her ex, who is also the father of her three children, when he reportedly became upset after she uploaded a picture of someone’s penis, and then told him that his member was small.

Just before midnight, the 30-year-old man allegedly showed up at his ex’s house in Vero Beach without an invitation. According to the police report, he went inside without permission and found the woman in her bedroom lying in bed.

A man from Wyoming who was making his way to California allegedly hijacked a car, called 911 several times for a tow truck, and got naked on the interstate to prove he was unarmed when police arrived.

On the morning of August 23, 911 received a slew of calls from someone who wanted the assistance of a tow truck because his tires were punctured. The caller was informed he was not to use 911 for that reason since it is not considered an emergency. The police went to the caller’s location to check on them, and they said the tires on the vehicle were fine.

Right after the police left, the man allegedly called 911 again, and officers returned. They reported that they saw the man in the middle of the street trying to get vehicles to stop for him. When one of the drivers stopped their car, he entered it, and reportedly told the driver to go to the nearest police department.

A Florida woman in a laundromat was arrested after reportedly wielding a wet floor sign as a weapon when she got into an altercation with another woman.

On the afternoon of August 27, a 29-year-old woman from Lauderhill was doing her laundry at the Laundromart Coin Laundry in Miami. Her clothes were in the washing machine, and she was waiting for them to finish so she could put them in the dryer.

Before the woman was able to retrieve her belongings from the washer, another woman in the establishment reportedly opened the machine and started to remove the clothes. The rightful owner of the property reportedly became upset with the woman, who said she made a mistake and opened the wrong washing machine, and they started to fight.
