A substitute bus driver for the Douglas County School District allegedly tried to control the children on his vessel by slamming on the brakes, leaving some of them severely traumatized.

On March 1, a 61-year-old school bus driver from Castle Rock was substituting for the regular driver on a bus from Castle Rock Elementary. The riders ranged in age from kindergarten to 6th grade.

It was reported that the man felt like the children were acting up. He was reportedly having difficulty getting them to quiet down, behave, and stay in their seats.

A California man on probation for a DUI was arrested after slamming his vehicle into a police patrol car with an officer inside while reportedly driving under the influence. 

Early in the morning on December 13, an officer with the Oceanside Police Department was on patrol and parked on a center island near a Route 79 offramp. 

According to reports, someone driving a Kia Optima was speeding when they exited the highway. The car went over the curb and onto the center island, and it barreled into the front of the officer’s vehicle in a head-on collision.

A Florida woman was arrested after allegedly attacking a man in his vehicle and injuring an officer’s hand before leaping out a two-story window in a purported attempt to escape. 

On the evening of November 20, a man and his wife went to a relative’s apartment in Gainesville for a visit. 

When they were leaving, the couple got into their vehicle and a woman from an adjoining apartment rushed out the door and began screaming at the man.

A Pennsylvania woman is facing many charges after being pulled over and accused of driving under the influence and allegedly endangering two children. 

Just before midnight on October 28, a woman was driving when an officer noticed that she had a headlight and two headlights out. 

When the officer tried to perform a traffic stop, the driver reportedly veered across the lanes into oncoming traffic and pulled over on the wrong side of the street.

A Houston man is facing charges after he allegedly stole an ambulance from a hospital and smashed into several cars at two fast food restaurants. 

On the evening of July 31, it was reported that a Houston Fire Department ambulance that was parked outside of the West Houston Medical Center hospital was stolen. 

According to reports, the alleged thief drove down the road to a fast food restaurant and slammed into three cars parked in the parking lot.

39-year-old Aaron Gregory is from West Melbourne, Florida. 

On the morning of July 24, Gregory reportedly visited a Walmart store in Melbourne.

A Florida man allegedly purposely entered an Interstate construction zone and crashed into a parked police vehicle with the purported intent of going to jail. 

25-year-old Tate Turner is from Boca Raton, Florida. 

Early in the morning on June 15, it was reported that Turner left home in a white Subaru Outback. He reportedly planned to drive to Hallandale Beach, which is approximately 30 miles from Boca Raton.

When a suspect who was reportedly caught breaking into parked cars at the State Fair fled, she crashed a vehicle and hid from the authorities to try to prevent her arrest.

34-year-old Savannah Masters is from Hastings, Nebraska.

On September 2, Masters was reportedly at Fonner Park, where the Nebraska State Fair is held.

When a reportedly intoxicated man allegedly pushed the envelope with the authorities by dancing, screaming, and lashing out physically, he was arrested and charged for the unsatisfying performance.

In the West Cleveland suburb of Parma Heights, a man was sitting in his vehicle while allegedly intoxicated.

The authorities were notified after the man allegedly dug his heels in when someone asked him to exit his vehicle so he would not drive drunk.
