A Palm Bay City Council member who was accused of driving under the influence of alcohol reportedly had baggies of cocaine stashed in his sock and shoe. 

Last weekend, a man who is a contractor with the Department of Veteran Affairs and serves as vice-chair of the Brevard County Planning and Zoning Board was driving a motorcycle in Palm Bay. 

An officer saw him and asserted that he was speeding.

A New Orleans city councilman with a prior DUI is being accused of a second one after he was allegedly found asleep behind the wheel of his running vehicle.

39-year-old Jared Brossett has been on the New Orleans City Council for 7 years. He is currently running for a seat in the upcoming election.

Last year, Brossett was in a car accident that resulted in a DUI charge. He was permitted to enter a diversion agreement instead of being criminally prosecuted, and he went to rehab.

When the mayor of Richland was pulled over and suspected of driving under the influence he reportedly claimed his blood-alcohol level was elevated due to dehydration.

63-year-old Bob Thompson is the mayor of Richland, Washington, and he has been a member of the Richland City Council for 25-years. He has also been employed as a criminal defense attorney for over 36-years.

On Saturday, just before midnight, Thompson was reportedly spotted driving his BMW down a portion of Parkway with a curve in the road. He allegedly navigated out of his lane for a moment before righting his vehicle while going 12 miles over the posted speed limit.
