A 34-year-old Georgia woman who was believed to be intoxicated is facing many charges after reportedly leaving her youngsters at a fire department and forcing the police to chase her as she drove away.
According to reports, late in the afternoon on March 23, a woman who was believed to be intoxicated and her two young children were passengers in a vehicle, when the driver was pulled over and arrested for driving under the influence. Just after 1:00 AM the following morning, the woman, again with her youngsters as passengers in the vehicle, drove to a fire station in Meldrim. She reportedly parked her car and passed out, and when she was seen by the firefighters, they went to see what was going on.
They reported that the woman looked like she had passed out, so they took the children out of the vehicle. She woke up and allegedly told the first responders that she had consumed a lot of alcohol, and then drove away and left the youngsters behind. They were able to trail her until sheriff’s deputies joined the pursuit and eventually used a PIT maneuver to force her to stop. The deputies reported that they found several alcohol containers in the car.
