 The grandmother of an infant and preteen allegedly kidnapped them from their home and drove away with them while intoxicated. 

Just before 4:30 AM last Sunday, the mother of a 12-year-old daughter and a 2-month-old son had an argument with her mother. She reported that her mother was intoxicated and wanted to take the girl out in the car. She informed her mother that she would not let her daughter get into the car. 

It was reported that the woman fought with her daughter about taking the girl, and allegedly threatened to take the infant as well.

Three teenagers in Washington state were taken into custody for running from the police in an allegedly stolen vehicle while intoxicated. 

Just before midnight on February 26, deputies with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department were patrolling in Parkland when they saw a Kia go by that was reportedly being driven over the speed limit. They also believed that the car was being operated unsafely when the driver reportedly began going down the wrong side of the road. 

According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department blotter webpage, deputies had to use stop sticks, and it was believed that the car was going 90 MPH when it hit them. The police additionally used a PIT maneuver to force the driver to slow the car, which had most of its tires deflated. The vehicle spun to a stop, and the driver and two passengers got out.

A man in Delaware who was reportedly under the influence allegedly swiped a car from a liquor store parking lot, resulting in his arrest for the theft his third DUI offense.  

It was reported that just before noon on February 18th, someone notified the authorities to report that their car had been stolen from the Kent Liquor Mart parking lot.  

Officers with the Dover Police Department went to the location and spoke with the alleged victim. Surveillance cameras were pointed at the spot from which the vehicle disappeared, and the police viewed the videos to try to identify the suspect.

A Palm Bay City Council member who was accused of driving under the influence of alcohol reportedly had baggies of cocaine stashed in his sock and shoe. 

Last weekend, a man who is a contractor with the Department of Veteran Affairs and serves as vice-chair of the Brevard County Planning and Zoning Board was driving a motorcycle in Palm Bay. 

An officer saw him and asserted that he was speeding.

A Colorado man who works as an AirLife chopper pilot was reportedly caught driving under the influence of alcohol while he was on his way to his work base to fly a medical helicopter. 

On the evening of January 7, a deputy with the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office was patrolling a local highway. 

A vehicle drove past him, and he reported that the driver crossed over the double yellow line. The deputy also reported that he was driving 15 miles over the posted speed limit.

An Illinois elected school board official was arrested in the first hour of the new year for allegations of driving under the influence of alcohol. 

At approximately 1:00 am on New Year’s Day, the authorities performed a traffic stop on the driver of a Toyota Highlander whose vehicle struck a curb. 

When the driver pulled over, the police said she did not immediately give them her license, and it was believed that she was drunk.

A West Virginia mother is facing several charges after allegedly leaving her youngster in the car without supervision while she was reportedly in a bar close to where the vehicle was parked. 

Early in the afternoon on January 10, the authorities received notification from someone claiming they saw a child alone in a vehicle. 

Officers went to the location, and they noted that the car was parked in front of a bar. It was reported that they spotted the child in the vehicle alone and unrestrained.

An Illinois woman was accused of driving under the influence when the authorities reportedly found her asleep in her vehicle in the parking lot of a Dollar General store. 

At approximately 8:00 PM on New Year’s Eve, the Joliet Police Department received a notification about someone who was parked in the local Dollar General store’s lot. It was reported that the person appeared to be an unconscious female. 

Officers went to the location to make sure that the person did not require assistance.

A 33-year-old woman was suspected of driving while intoxicated after she reportedly drove her car onto the canal in Indianapolis causing it to break through the ice and sink into the water.  

At approximately 11:00 PM on December 25, a woman was driving in downtown Indianapolis. Her car drifted down an embankment, and she continued navigating it through the park until she reached the canal near Colts Playspace. 

According to reports, she drove onto the frozen canal and went North.

A middle school bus driver suspected of drinking and driving was taken into custody after he got into an accident while transporting children. 

On December 13, one of the bus drivers from Woodland Community School District 50 in Lake County, Illinois, was driving with seven school children in the vehicle.  

It was reported that when the driver turned a corner, he lost control of the bus and went over the curb. The bus also struck a brick mailbox.
