A married couple from Virginia accused of pilfering more than $1.4 M from the Paycheck Protection Program was taken into custody at the airport when it was discovered they were leaving the U.S. in a purported attempt to escape criminal penalties.

Since the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) put many small businesses in danger of having to shut their doors, the U.S. Small Business Association began offering a loan called the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). It was designed to help owners keep their employees on the payroll during the pandemic.

A press release from the Justice Department informed the public that they found purportedly fraudulent PPP applications submitted to at least a dozen institutions during the months of April and May, and they asserted the responsible parties were a couple from Ashburn.

35-year-old Brandon Bug Hall-Barnett is an actor featured in several movies and television series, such as The Little Rascals, Honey We Shrunk Ourselves, Kelly Kelly, Harley and the Davidsons, and many other productions.

On June 20, the authorities were reportedly alerted by a member of Hall’s family and asked to check on the man, who they believed may have overdosed at a hotel in Weatherford, Texas. It was additionally reported that the police received calls about someone that was believed to be “huffing” near the dumpster.

A woman from Eagle Lake, Florida was arrested after she allegedly dialed 911 many times in a purported attempt to get a ride to a different city.

Sarah Alameh is a 31-year-old woman who resides in Eagle Lake, a city about an hour south of Orlando.

In the early morning hours on June 24, Alameh was reportedly in the parking lot outside a hospital.

A man allegedly walked into the home of a family he didn’t know and threw their 7-year-old out of the house and down the steps as he reportedly tried to kidnap their children.

Near 7:00 am on June 22, a family learned that they had left their front door unlocked when an unknown man reportedly walked in and went to their 7-year-old daughter’s bedroom where she was asleep in her bed.

The suspect reportedly tried to tell the child to get up and follow him, but she remained in her bed and would not do as he asked.

32-year-old Becky Bartlett and her ex-boyfriend reportedly still reside together in St. Petersburg despite the dissolving of their romantic relationship.

On June 23, Bartlett and her ex-beau were reportedly verbally sniping at each other throughout the day.

A woman accused of setting Wendy’s on fire during a protest over the death of Rashard Brooks by the hands of law enforcement was arrested at her lawyer’s office last Tuesday.

39-year-old Natalie Hanna White, reportedly a friend of Rashard Brooks who was killed by the gunfire of a police officer in the parking lot of a Wendy’s restaurant in Atlanta, was the suspect the authorities believed set fire to the establishment on June 13.

The police obtained a warrant for her arrest, and on June 23, White willingly met with officers outside of her attorney’s office building.

When a Largo man allegedly stole a pricey boat from a dealership, he reportedly left the vessel after crashing into a group of pilings.

Last Saturday around 2:00 am, the theft of a 2019 Jeanneau Leader boat with a value of $90,000 was reportedly robbed from the Thunder Marine boat dealership in St. Petersburg.

After the suspect left the shore with the boat, the alleged voyage took a turn for the worse as the vessel was navigated in a way that caused it to smash into four wooden channel-marker pilings.

A Florida man who reportedly sports a tattoo of a machete was arrested after allegedly using the same type of weapon inked on his face in an assault against another man.

Last weekend, 25-year-old Justin Arthur Allen Couch reportedly got into a tussle with a man who came into a Tarrytown residence where he said he was staying.

The man, who said he wanted to take a shower and found that people were hanging out and having a gathering, reported that when he and Couch began arguing Couch told him to leave the home.

A convicted sex offender with more than 100 prior arrests was accused of assaulting a 92-year-old woman as she walked down the street in Manhattan.

On June 12, a woman identified as “Geraldine” was walking in Gramercy Park while pushing a cart when she reportedly encountered a stranger who shoved her.

The woman was reportedly knocked down, and when she hit the ground her head slammed into a fire hydrant.
