An Alabama TikTok influencer is facing several charges after a lengthy investigation allegedly revealed that she created a fake charity to bilk donors out of a total of over $1,000,000.

According to reports, approximately three years ago, a TikTok influencer who goes by the usernames “Slotmachinequeen” and “Slot_7.0” allegedly started a charity fund to help victims of domestic violence and homelessness. She reportedly asked that people send their donations directly to her using digital payment services such as PayPal, CashApp, and Venmo. People all over the world contributed to the cause, and over the course of approximately three years, at least $1,000,000 was reportedly collected.

In October, the authorities began receiving reports from individuals who suspected the charity was fraudulent, and the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division began looking into the claims. Their investigation led them to a 57-year-old woman from Athens. They believed the situation began in 2021, and they reported that the charity the woman allegedly claimed to be collecting donations for did not exist. It was also reported that the woman, who has not had a job since 2020, appeared to have transferred the money donated to the faux charity into her personal bank account.

An elementary school teacher and his aide are both facing charges after a 9-year-old told the authorities that the instructor taped his head to a desk and left him there for approximately one hour.

According to reports, in October, a 9-year-old student at Lenox Elementary School in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey, was in class when the teacher allegedly forced him to keep his head on his desk by putting masking tape around his head and shoulders. The 67-year-old woman who works in the classroom as a teacher’s aide was present, but she reportedly did not get involved and left the youngster stuck to the desk.

The juvenile talked to the Pompton Lakes Police Department about the incident, and the information was shared with Special Victims Unit detectives. After investigating the situation, the authorities determined that the teacher should be arrested and charged. They also believed the class aide broke the law because she should have helped the boy.

A southern Florida woman accused of being part of a retail theft ring was arrested after allegedly stealing merchandise from several stores in multiple counties.

It was reported that law enforcement and the Florida Organized Retail Crime Exchange Task Force teamed up to investigate multiple thefts taking place across the state. The authorities believed the thefts, carried out in at least 50 different stores, spanned over a period of nearly two years. It was also reported that the swiped merchandise was estimated as being worth at least $100,000. It was believed that the goods that were taken were being sold on social media, and the three suspects they believed were responsible were arrested.

Last week, one of the women from the trio was allegedly involved in additional thefts. According to the authorities, when the suspect went to Walgreens, CVS, Ulta, and liquor stores in Brevard, Martin, Palm Beach, Sarasota, and Seminole counties. She allegedly collected items and stashed them in a bag before walking out of the store without paying for the items. It was assessed that the merchandise taken from the stores was worth approximately $15,000.

After an angry passenger allegedly punched a New York bus driver, the driver reportedly responded by stabbing the man in the leg and head.

Early in the afternoon on December 13, a man was riding on an MTA bus in Queens, when he approached the driver and said he realized he was on the wrong bus. He made a request to be dropped off at a spot on the side of the road, but it was not a marked bus stop. It was reported that the driver was trying to find a safe place to allow the man to deboard, but the 33-year-old rider was allegedly unsatisfied and threatened to physically harm him. The passenger then reportedly struck the driver in the face and started spitting on him.

When the 58-year-old bus driver got up to confront him, the man allegedly punched him multiple times. The operator had a sharp object believed to be a knife, and he reportedly stabbed the passenger in his head and his leg.

A Florida woman whose beliefs are represented by the Quaran is facing charges when she allegedly attacked one of her family members after she became insulted that they said a Christian prayer praising Jesus.

Late in the morning of December 11, a woman’s brother and his wife were visiting her home. The man wanted to spend time with his mother, who is staying with his sister while on hospice care. The man and his spouse decided to pray together, and his sister heard them mention Jesus. She reportedly became upset, especially after noticing the pair was holding a cross while praying. It was reported that the woman’s religious beliefs center around the Quaran, a religious text of Islam that does not involve believing in Jesus.

Things began with a verbal disagreement, but they intensified. After she asked them to leave, the man’s sister allegedly threw his and his wife’s belongings outside and smashed his cell phone on the ground. A physical altercation reportedly took place, and the authorities were notified. A deputy from the Indian River Sheriff’s Office went to the residence to assist a corporal who was already there.

When the police tried to arrest a man wanted for drug offenses, he got stuck inside a chimney while allegedly trying to escape.

On December 10, Fall River Police Department detectives from the Community Action and Suppression Team went to a residence in Fall River with a search warrant. They initially interacted with two men, who reportedly took off and headed to the roof in a purported attempt to get away. According to reports, one of them was successful in escaping after he jumped off the roof and a vehicle below broke his fall. The second man allegedly used more unconventional means to try to dodge the detectives and began going down the chimney. Moments later, the suspect got stuck.

The officers, one of whom called the man an idiot, realized he was trapped and that they were going to have to help dislodge him from the flue. They called for backup, and the Fall River Fire Department, in addition to medics from the Fall River Emergency Medical Services showed up at the address to assist with the situation. It was reported that they had to remove bricks to get the suspect out of the chimney.

A central California man who is currently on parole is facing multiple charges after allegedly smashing a stolen car into several vehicles in a grocery store parking lot before trying to flee from the authorities.

Early in the afternoon on December 8, a man was allegedly driving recklessly in a Trader Joe’s parking lot in Santa Barbara. It was reported that he backed into one car and struck several other vehicles in the lot, in addition to nearly hitting pedestrians. After the alleged event, the man reportedly sped away. The authorities were notified, and officers from the Santa Barbara Police Department headed to Trader Joe’s to investigate.

At the same time, someone who saw the vehicle on the road called 911 to give them the car’s license plate number after witnessing the driver allegedly fail to stop at a red light and nearly crash into people riding bicycles. Officers began searching for his car when they received the suspect’s location.

A Florida teen is facing legal consequences after allegedly shooting a flare gun onto a private school’s soccer field in the middle of a match.

On November 21, players from the Falcons, Saint Stephens Episcopal School’s soccer team, went up against the Panthers from Bradenton Christian School. While it did not stop the home team from winning the match, an incident occurred during the game that exposed the players to danger and caused over $1,000 in damage to the field.

People were watching the game and cheering for their teams, and one group, who were not students at Saint Stephens, was reportedly acting extremely rowdy. It was reported that they began making so much of a commotion that they were disturbing others, and they were asked to leave the premises. They complied with the order, and they walked back to the vehicle in which they arrived, which was parked at a nearby restaurant across the street from the school.

A K9 was instrumental in helping the police catch and arrest a western Oregon man that they believed was involved in several types of theft crimes.

On December 9, a 55-year-old man who resides in a trailer in Newport, Oregon, found himself in handcuffs after allegedly carrying out a string of illegal acts. According to reports, he swiped a vehicle and took advantage of the personal belongings he found inside, including a credit card. The man reportedly headed towards Highway 101 and made pit stops at a few markets where he allegedly used the card to pay for his purchases.

The authorities received a call about a vehicle on the highway, and when officers from the Newport Police Department got there, they reported that the vehicle’s doors were open, but they did not see anyone around. The owner of the car was identified, and when the officers called them, they said they had no idea it had been stolen.

A Florida woman is incarcerated for allegedly kidnapping a toddler from a family’s fenced backyard without parental permission.

On the afternoon of November 25, a 39-year-old woman from Hallandale Beach was strolling down a local street when she walked past a residence with a fenced-in backyard. A 3-year-old was playing alone in the private yard, and they caught her attention. Though she reportedly did not know the family, she allegedly lifted the youngster over the enclosure.

According to reports, some of the neighbors saw the woman as she was walking away from the residence with the toddler in her arms, and one of them was able to take a picture. The child’s mother was quickly alerted by the bystanders. When she went outside, she reportedly saw the woman still holding her youngster and he quickly ran to her as soon as he was put down. She immediately notified the authorities about the incident.
