A 37-year-old man from Missouri is facing a slew of charges after he allegedly got into a standoff with the police that involved children and firearms. 

Early in the morning on February 6, officers with the Sikeston Department of Public Safety dispatched to an address in Sikeston after someone called in a report about an assault. 

When they arrived, the deputies reported that two youngsters were outside the residence. A deputy spoke to them, and they reportedly said that the man in the home had a gun and that a sleeping child was also inside.

An Oklahoma mother was incarcerated after she was accused of using her baby’s diaper bag to carry methamphetamine and paraphernalia. 

In the middle of the afternoon on February 6, the mother of a 7-month-old child was at her residence in Sapulpa, which is about 14 miles away from the downtown Tulsa area. 

According to reports, the Creek County Sheriff’s Office obtained a search warrant for the home. The reason for the search has not been disclosed at this time.

An Indiana man is facing several charges after a domestic dispute where he allegedly held a woman against her will after threatening and physically harming her. 

On January 4, a man and woman were at home in Leesburg when they began to get into a disagreement. It was reported that a remote control for the TV was the source of the alleged contention. 

The dispute reportedly escalated, and the man allegedly grabbed the woman and held her in place. He reportedly used the heel of his hand to strike her in the face.

Last Tuesday, two men in Louisiana who were wanted for multiple theft offenses since last August were taken into custody and jailed for the allegations.

On August 26, 2022, a tree service company in Calhoun found that five of their chainsaws adorned with the company name were missing. They suspected that they had been stolen, and they notified the authorities. The owner believed they knew who swiped the chainsaws when someone who purchased two of them revealed the identities of the men whom they bought them from.

Approximately one month later, on September 20, the West Monroe Police Department received a report that someone broke into a mechanic’s business and burglarized four of the vehicles. The suspect was recognized by the alleged victim when reviewing the surveillance footage, and when they gave the person’s identity to the police, it was believed that the man was one of the same suspects involved in the alleged chainsaw thefts.

A heavily intoxicated man wielding a knife was arrested after a woman called 911 to protect herself, and he refused to cooperate with the responding law enforcement.  

Early in the morning on February 7, a female homeowner had a male guest at her house. It was reported that he consumed a lot of alcohol and had been acting erratically for several hours. 

The man had allegedly been starting arguments with the woman and verbally harassing her for much of the prior evening. His aggression reportedly escalated, and he allegedly grabbed a knife.

When a man and his girlfriend arrived home after going to a bar together, the woman got upset and allegedly struck him in the head with a chicken. 

On the evening of February 1, a couple from Eagle Lake, Minnesota, were spending time together at a local bar. 

When they left the establishment, the man was driving, and the woman was in the passenger seat. She allegedly started to get physically aggressive toward her beau. It is unclear what caused her anger, but she allegedly began to hit him. It was reported that she also spit in his face more than once.

The former food service director of an Illinois school district is facing charges after being accused of abusing her position by allegedly stealing $1.5 million worth of chicken wings.  

A woman in Cook County has spent more than a decade working as a food service director for Harvey School District 152. It was reported that one of her regular duties was to place orders with the food suppliers who work with the district. 

Last year, the school district’s budget was audited, and it was reportedly found to be approximately $300,000 over the allotted yearly amount, though the year was only half over.

A man from New Hampshire was arrested in Florida last week after allegedly stealing a group home transportation vehicle with a wheelchair-dependent non-verbal passenger inside. 

On January 31, the driver of a group home van had a passenger who uses a wheelchair. The man is also non-verbal. 

While the driver was en route to the destination, he reportedly pulled into the parking lot of a St. Lucie liquor store around 2:00 PM. The vehicle was reportedly left running while the man went into the business. The passenger remained in the van.

A special needs elementary school substitute teacher was accused of child abuse when she allegedly struck one of the children in her class with a book as a disciplinary measure. 

About a month ago, a 25-year-old woman began working as a substitute teacher in a special needs classroom at the Champion Elementary School in Daytona Beach. Two other teachers worked with her in the class since the students often required extra attention. 

According to a witness who also works at the school, the sub was engaging with students when they saw the woman hit a young boy with a book.

An alleged thief may face charges after reportedly breaking into a restaurant and taking items, in addition to leaving a pile of excrement on the floor. 

Early in the morning on January 21, Joe’s Crab Shack restaurant in Fort Meyers, Florida, was reportedly robbed.  

According to reports, the perpetrator entered the establishment after hours by shattering a window. While the person was there, they allegedly swiped alcohol and other items that belong to the restaurant.
