An Orange County, CA, man with a babysitting service has been accused of several sex crimes after allegations that he molested two local young boys he was caring for.

30-year-old Matthew Zakrzewski from Costa Mesa has over 6 years of experience and many special qualifications for working with children.

Zakrzeqski hosts a website that offers a list of the services he provides, under the nickname of “Matthew the Manny,” while he works with the kids and families who hire him. He advertises his availability to serve in the role of “manny, babysitter, buddy, big brother, role model, mentor,” and hosts pictures of himself with several different children he has reportedly worked with. Zakrzeqski also states that he has known since he was rather young that working with children is his calling.

Three men from Orange County are facing charges after an investigation led authorities to believe they are responsible for selling fentanyl-based fabricated pills made to look like Oxycodone and trick the buyer into thinking their purchases were authentic. The alleged sales took place on the darknet.

The darknet is a hidden portion of the internet that is unavailable unless using specific software to gain access. Though many people associate it with illegal activities most of the content there is reportedly academic information published by universities, databases, and other resources not found through popularly used browsers.

In December 2017 an online store opened through hosts on the darknet such as “Dream Market” and began operating under the profile name of Oxygod. The business, which as of April 4 was still reported as accessible, allegedly serves as an outlet for mail order purchases of the pharmaceutical opioid pain medication Oxycodone.

A man riding his bicycle in Costa Mesa on Tuesday suffered from injuries after he was the victim of a hit and run incident. The alleged driver was detained after police sought public assistance through social media.

Around 8:30 a.m. on March 20 a man was riding his bike near a Costa Mesa intersection when a car made impact with him. The vehicle left the 56-year-old man wounded on the side of the road and drove off.

Someone noticed the cyclist injured in the street and alerted the authorities after approaching to assist him. Costa Mesa police along with Costa Mesa Fire and Rescue proceeded to the scene of the accident. The man was taken to a local hospital and diagnosed with a compound fracture of the ankle.

On Thursday a woman was taken into custody and charged for an incident that occurred on February 8 in Irvine, when a woman walking toward a store had her purse snatched.

Approximately one week ago in the evening a woman parked her car in the lot of Bath and Body Works and walked through the parking lot toward the entrance of the store. Before she was able to make it to the door someone advanced upon her from behind and tried to grab the purse off of her shoulder.

The victim fought to keep her belongings and wrestled with the perpetrator until she fell to the ground. She reported that the woman stealing her purse then began kicking her in the forehead and upper body before taking the bag and driving away in a black sedan.

After an FBI investigation into what they believe is a fraudulent operation targeting homeowners facing foreclosure by offering low interest loan modifications, three men from Southern California are facing federal charges as suspects in the alleged hoax.

At the start of 2014 under the name Hope Services, homeowners in danger of losing their homes to foreclosure were offered deals for modifying their loans in order to assist them and stop the seizure of their properties. The potential clients were told they were preapproved for the process and they were asked to submit three payments, which would be held in an account, in order to complete the new loan agreements.

Toward the end of 2014 many complaints were received about Hope Services from people who had submitted payments and did not receive their modified loans as promised. The alleged scam operation then changed their name to HAMP Services, which has the same acronym as an existing government program for home loan modification, and they continued to solicit services to new victims until April 2015.

According to prosecutors, two men were arraigned in Orange County Superior Court on charges of trafficking and attempted pimping of a teenage girl in Costa Mesa.

The two men, one 25 years old and the other 23 years old, also face charges for pimping a woman for sex, according to the Orange County DA office and the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force.

The two men were arrested on Saturday night in Costa Mesa on suspicion of attempting to pimp a teenage girl and a woman between May 2016 and June 2016 in an area of Costa Mesa that is known for prostitution, the statement said.
