A Florida Department of Corrections sergeant was arrested after reportedly threatening the deputy who arrested him for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol with three times the legal blood-alcohol content.

Early in the evening on March 18, a corrections sergeant at the Polk Correctional Institution in Polk City was driving his Honda Civic when he was in an accident involving only his vehicle. He reportedly struck a guardrail.

Deputies with the Polk County Sheriff’s Department went to the crash site and the sergeant was identified as the person who was in the wreck.

A Pennsylvania man is facing several charges after allegedly pulling a gun on a store clerk, in addition to using the firearm to taunt the police that responded to the situation. 

Around 2:00 PM, a 53-year-old man entered a New Castle Dollar General store and asked the clerk if he could purchase a pack of cigarettes.  

According to reports, during the transaction, the man allegedly pulled out a gun and pointed it at the cashier.

On Sunday evening, a Florida man was driving his Honda down US Highway 19 when police reportedly saw him racing down the road and operating his vehicle recklessly.

An officer with the Tarpon Springs Police Department initiated a traffic stop and approached the driver, identified as 52-year-old Jon Earl Pickard from Palm Beach.

The highway reportedly had a posted speed limit of 55 miles-per-hour, but the officer alleged that Pickard was going approximately 35-miles over the maximum.

An Arizona man is suspected of stealing several cases of beer from the same market that he reportedly visited 17-times during an eight-day period late in July.

The QuikTrip Market in Mesa, Arizona, reported that they were missing an estimated $1100 worth of their beer inventory at the end of July.

When the authorities were notified about the situation and started to investigate the source of the missing alcohol, they reviewed the market’s surveillance videos from the time period in question in an attempt to track down the suspect with the purportedly sticky fingers.

According to the attorney working for a Washington City Councilman who has been charged with his fourth DUI, the charge will be viewed as a first-time offense.

On Monday afternoon, 42-year-old Matthew Staniszewski, a Washington City Councilman, was allegedly found behind the wheel of his Honda that was reportedly idle and askew on the side of the road in a position that was blocking oncoming traffic.

An officer approached the vehicle and reported that empty miniature bottles of liquor were laying on the floor of the car, and Staniszewski allegedly appeared rather disoriented.
