A Florida woman reportedly driving a golf cart with four times the legal BAC was arrested for her fifth DUI after allegedly scratching a car that belonged to a man that she was arguing with in a supermarket parking lot.

In the middle of the afternoon on Easter Sunday, a 45-year-old woman from The Villages visited a Winn-Dixie store at La Plaza Grande. She was operating a golf cart, and when she came to a stop sign a man walked across the street to get to the store entrance. The woman reportedly became angry and started yelling at him as he walked inside.

According to reports, she approached the driver’s side of the vehicle where his mother was sitting and left a noticeable scratch by dragging a key across the silver door. The man’s mom notified the authorities, and officers from the Lady Lake Police Department responded.

As a newlywed couple left their wedding reception, an allegedly drunk and speeding driver plowed into the golf cart they were in, leaving the bride deceased and the groom seriously injured.

On April 28, a 34-year-old woman and her beau were married in a ceremony in Folly Beach, South Carolina. Afterward, they attended their reception until approximately 10:00 PM.

When the couple departed from the venue in which the celebration took place, they were riding on the back of a golf cart that was legal for road travel and had proper lights. Two of their family members were seated in the front section of the cart.

An intoxicated Florida woman was reportedly found driving a golf cart on the interstate with an open bottle of alcohol in her purse. 

58-year-old Diane Hawk lives in Barefoot Bay, Florida. 

Just before midnight on July 30, a semi-truck driver on I-95 saw someone driving a golf cart down the road. The truck driver believed that the person operating the cart was fading in and out of consciousness.

A Florida Man celebrating Mardi Gras and operating a golf cart was arrested for driving under the influence when the police pulled him over due to an alleged failure to use his headlights. 

24-year-old Joseph Anthony DiDonato lives in Wildwood at Lakeside Landings, which is in a community next to The Villages. 

In the evening on March 1, DiDonato was in The Villages near the Lake Sumter Landing waterfront mall.

A Florida septuagenarian accused of driving a golf cart to a local bank while under the influence of alcohol had her driver’s license suspended as a part of her ordered probation.

70-year-old Janis Withrow Kampka lives in the Glenbrook neighborhood in The Villages.

In the afternoon on July 23, Kampka allegedly drove a golf cart to Citizens First Bank at Southern Trace Plaza.

A naked Florida woman reportedly rode a golf cart through an active standoff between the authorities and a shooter that was positioned on a nearby rooftop.

On the evening of September 5, deputies with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office were trying to get control of a situation involving a teenager who had a gun on the rooftop.

The authorities formed a perimeter around the premises with patrol cars, and the boy reportedly held them at bay for over 6 hours.

A man in Central Florida was caught by the authorities last weekend when he was driving a golf cart down the highway while allegedly intoxicated.

76-year-old Gerard Gorges Provencher is from the small town of Lady Lake, Florida, which is located about 40 miles away from Orlando.

On August 6, Provencher went to Brownwood Paddock Square in The Villages. The area presents itself as an “early 19th century Florida cattle town,” and offers a variety of options for recreation. According to their website, one can choose to partake in “free nightly entertainment 365 days a year from the log cabin stage.” The site is also home to their weekly Farmers Market, annual Strawberry Festival, and several holiday celebrations.

When an elderly Florida man was accused of driving under the influence of alcohol while operating a golf cart, he allegedly told the police that he got drunk after becoming frustrated while tuning in as President Donald Trump was giving a live televised speech.

On July 30, President Trump delivered a speech covering topics such as COVID-19 response, the recent passing of former presidential candidate Herman Cain, and the use of mail-in-ballots in the November election.

82-year-old Cary De Van, a resident of The Villages in central Florida, was reportedly watching as Trump spoke to the public.

A man in Palm Coast was arrested and charged after he allegedly pointed an air rifle at golfers behind his residence when they did not comply with his demands.

On April 17, a group of six men were on the 8th hole of The Conservatory course when a man allegedly began to yell at them from his yard and accused them of driving the golf cart in a manner that went against course rules. The man reportedly noticed that the golfers had taken the cart over a bridge and onto the island near the hole.

The resident, later identified as 74-year-old John Robert Orr, who has a cement wall and the water around the island between his yard and the course, allegedly demanded that the men depart immediately for their reported misuse of the golf cart.

A Florida couple is facing charges after they allegedly stole a Donald Trump campaign flag from a neighbor’s property during the night with their children in tow.

41-year-old Geoffrey Michael Fraiche and his wife, 38-year-old Laura Ann Webb-Fraiche, are both gynecologists who are employed in different hospitals in Pensacola, Florida.

The married couple, who lives in Gulf Breeze with their two children, reportedly drank a little alcohol which allegedly caused them to become mischievously playful.
