An allegedly intoxicated Pennsylvania man was arrested in a residential area when a woman called the police and told them he was holding a knife while standing outside her home.

On the evening of June 16, a 35-year-old man from Williamsport was reportedly on foot on a local urban street. He was in front of a woman’s residence, and when she opened her door because she thought a delivery driver had arrived, she thought she saw the man holding a knife. It was reported that she became frightened for her safety and called the authorities to report the situation. Troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police Montoursville Barracks, Troop F Headquarters, went to the address to investigate.

When the troopers arrived, the man was still in front of the residence, and they assumed he was carrying a weapon. They told him several times to drop what he was holding, and when he did so, the troopers said they retrieved a folding knife. According to reports, when they told him to kneel on the ground while facing away from them, he instead tried to approach them. One of the troopers discharged their taser, causing the suspect to fall down. They spoke to him about the situation, and they believed he smelled like alcohol and was behaving as if he were intoxicated. They additionally alleged that when asked, he was unable to spell his name.

A now-former deputy in Oregon is facing many charges after allegedly creating pornography in his uniform in public places and uploading the content to the internet.

According to reports, in September, the authorities in Yamhill County received a call from someone claiming that a deputy from the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office was displayed in pornographic content on the internet. The videos allegedly showed the man masturbating and doing sexual things in public places while he was wearing his uniform. He additionally allegedly pulled out his genitals in the sheriff’s office and proceeded to ejaculate into a bottle of water. It was reported that he was aware the person would drink the contents.

An investigation was opened, and it was discovered that there were pictures and videos on the app formerly known as Twitter, in addition to OnlyFans. It is believed that the activities had been going on since at least December 2022.

A New York man who works for the city medical examiner’s office was arrested after allegations that he stole an $800 designer bag from a deceased man when he went to retrieve the body from a residence. 

On August 9, a man that lived in a Manhattan apartment passed away. 

A 49-year-old from Queens who works for the Office of Chief Medical Examiner went to the residence to pick up the victim. He was reportedly by himself with the body while he prepared it to be moved.

A woman who worked as a jailer in a county jail in Iowa has been accused of having sexual relations with one of the inmates at the facility for several months. 

27-year-old Kayla Mae Bergom is from Belle Plain. Bergom was employed as a corrections officer at the Tama County Jail in Toledo, Iowa, for three years. 

In September 2020, Bergom allegedly got intimately close with a 29-year-old inmate at the jail. The name of the other party has not been released at this time.

A Lee County deputy is one of three people facing charges for allegedly working together to plant drugs on a suspect to set him up for an unlawful arrest. 

Niko Irizarry began working for the Lee County Sheriff’s Office in 2018. The sheriff reported that Irizarry had never been reprimanded in his time with the agency.  

On December 16, 2021, Irizarry and two other men identified as 36-year-old Charles Custodio and 29-year-old Scott Snider allegedly orchestrated a plan to target a real estate agent for drug crimes.

A South Carolina women’s prison guard was accused of trying to distribute narcotics to inmates by hiding them inside Rice Krispies Treats to sneak them into the facility.

43-year-old Marcy Shaffer lives in Columbia. She was employed by the South Carolina Department of Corrections as a women’s state prison guard at the Camille Graham Correctional Institution.

On July 1, Shaffer was entering the facility, and she was reportedly carrying a plastic bag filled with Rice Krispies Treats.

The Polk County Fire Rescue Captain, along with one of their paramedics, are facing charges for allegedly swiping doses of COVID-19 vaccinations that were intended for first responders.

31-year-old Joshua Colon worked as a paramedic for the Polk County Fire Rescue. Last year, he was the “Paramedic of the Year.”

Colon was reportedly tasked with giving vaccines to first responders.

A corrections officer who worked at a South Carolina prison has lost her job and is facing many charges after she was accused of attempting to bring several illicit substances into the maximum-security men’s prison.

33-year-old Ashley Nickole Williams was recently employed as a guard at the McCormick Correctional Institution for men in McCormick.

The woman, who lives about 25-miles away in Greenwood, reportedly showed up at the prison on October 30 while carrying personal items.

A superintendent of an Indiana school district has been accused of insurance fraud after she reportedly brought a student for medical treatment and said he was her son so that she could use her insurance to cover the services.

Casey Smitherman is the superintendent of a school district just outside of Indianapolis in the small town of Elwood, where many of the residents are reported as falling into the low-income category.

Smitherman had become acquainted with a 15-year-old boy who attends school in Elwood and she reportedly felt concern for the recent conditions at his home. She stated that she had, on occasion, given the teen clothing and assisted with household chores to try to provide a bit of relief.

A homeless man who was offered shelter during a storm by a mother of four when she brought him into her home was accused of lewd behavior by allegedly trying to suggest that her teenage daughter should allow him to pay her for sex.

When a North Carolina mother saw a homeless man, identified as 56-year-old Leonard Dale Dover, stuck outside in the heavy rains she invited him into her family home for a place to wait out the bad weather.

While Dover was inside of the house the woman made a quick run to the local Walmart to pick up a few items. Her 13-year-old daughter was home while Dover was there, and while her mother was absent she said that he tried to give her money in exchange for sex and that he masturbated in front of her. The girl reportedly caught some of his behavior on video with her cell phone’s camera.
