A 56-year-old woman in Florida is under investigation after she allegedly posed as a government worker to take a 9-year-old boy from his babysitter.

The authorities stated the incident reportedly happened in Polk County. Deputies responded to a call for assistance around 3:22 p.m. at a home where a babysitter was watching four children, including the 9-year-old. The caller, allegedly identifying herself as a child welfare employee, reportedly told the dispatcher she needed help removing the children.

When deputies arrived, the babysitter said the woman and another person had come to the home claiming she was a case manager and needed to take the 9-year-old to his mother. The babysitter refused and said the woman threatened to take all four children. The woman reportedly made phone calls claiming she was arranging new homes for the children. She allegedly did not show identification or any proof of employment when asked.

A Florida man was accused of using 911 without having a legitimate emergency when he reportedly called the number because his girlfriend wanted to eat Sour Patch Kids candy. 

37-year-old Joshua Larson lives in Madeira Beach, Florida. 

Just before midnight on July 16, Larson was at his home with his girlfriend. It was reported that the woman told Larson that she wanted to eat Sour Patch Kids candy.

A Florida man was arrested after allegedly placing several calls to 911 with requests that the authorities release the drug lord El Chapo and incarcerate President Biden. 

Early in the morning on May 8, someone later identified as 29-year-old Jacob Ryan Philbeck placed a call to 911, and Pasco County Sheriff’s Office deputies spoke to the man. 

According to reports, the caller wanted to let the authorities know that the drug lord El Chapo should be freed from incarceration. Philbeck also reportedly informed them that President Joe Biden should be placed in prison.

A suspect with a forehead tattoo that strongly suggests he is a Florida man was arrested after allegedly abusing the 911 system by requesting rides for personal trips.

22-year-old Matthew Kyle Leatham hails from New Port Richey. He is employed as a cook in a local restaurant, and he has a tattoo in the shape of the state of Florida in the middle of his forehead.

Early in the morning on January 31, Leatham was out and about without a vehicle.

A woman from Eagle Lake, Florida was arrested after she allegedly dialed 911 many times in a purported attempt to get a ride to a different city.

Sarah Alameh is a 31-year-old woman who resides in Eagle Lake, a city about an hour south of Orlando.

In the early morning hours on June 24, Alameh was reportedly in the parking lot outside a hospital.

A man in Palm Coast was arrested and charged after he allegedly pointed an air rifle at golfers behind his residence when they did not comply with his demands.

On April 17, a group of six men were on the 8th hole of The Conservatory course when a man allegedly began to yell at them from his yard and accused them of driving the golf cart in a manner that went against course rules. The man reportedly noticed that the golfers had taken the cart over a bridge and onto the island near the hole.

The resident, later identified as 74-year-old John Robert Orr, who has a cement wall and the water around the island between his yard and the course, allegedly demanded that the men depart immediately for their reported misuse of the golf cart.

When 911 received an abundance of calls from a woman reporting that her boyfriend was being mean to her, the police alleged that she exploited the system by falsifying her need for help.

Last week 40-year-old Mary Ann Parrish and her boyfriend were apparently not seeing eye-to-eye, and the woman was reported as calling 911 half a dozen times in a four-hour period to let them know that he was acting like a jerk.

When a deputy dispatched to the Lacoochee, Florida, home to investigate the reason behind the alleged barrage of calls for emergency assistance it was reported that Parrish again notified 911 while he was already at the location.
