A Texas tax preparer with a felony record who was confronted by unhappy customers reportedly pulled a gun on them and hit a woman in the head with the weapon.

46-year-old Latunya Wright served a federal prison term following a 2012 conviction for taking part in a multi-million dollar scam on a company that services ATMs.

Since Wright’s release, she has reportedly opened a Houston-based tax preparing business called MZ BIZ.

Last weekend in Pomona a 71-year-old man reported that he was approached by a young man brandishing a gun, and pistol-whipped in an alleged assault.

Around 8:30 pm on Saturday, February 3, a Pomona resident was reportedly the victim of an unprovoked assault when an 18-year-old man that he did not know came up to him and began acting aggressively. The man was allegedly carrying a handgun and used it to assault the victim.

The authorities were notified and as soon as they were in sight, the suspected perpetrator, Pomona local Pablo Jimenez, fled the scene and attempted to hide inside of the bathroom at a local grocery store. When officers scouted the surrounding area they quickly located someone matching the description given to them by the victim, and they found Jimenez in the bathroom.

Two men, Jonathan Cephus, 36, and Melvin Collins, 33, are allegedly responsible for a long list of robberies that began on July 5, 2013. Cephus held up a Little Caesars in Fullerton, according to Senior Deputy District Attorney Brock Zimmon.

Cephus later pistol-whipped a man as he robbed a Del Taco in Anaheim on July 22nd. On July 26th, Cephus robbed a Jack in Box in Anaheim and on August 28th Cephus again robbed a Jack in the Box in Anaheim, Zimmon said.

Four more robberies took place on September 2, 2013. The first one happened at 7 a.m. at a Burger King in Buena Park, but Collins got scared away when the clerk mentioned that there were many surveillance cameras in the store, According to Zimmon.
