A Florida Department of Corrections sergeant was arrested after reportedly threatening the deputy who arrested him for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol with three times the legal blood-alcohol content.
Early in the evening on March 18, a corrections sergeant at the Polk Correctional Institution in Polk City was driving his Honda Civic when he was in an accident involving only his vehicle. He reportedly struck a guardrail.
Deputies with the Polk County Sheriff’s Department went to the crash site and the sergeant was identified as the person who was in the wreck.
