A man who spent his career as a sheriff’s deputy in Southern California has been fired and taken into custody for allegations that he continuously sexually abused an underage boy.

50-year-old Jeremie Russell Cox is from Yucca Valley, California. He has worked as a deputy in San Bernardino County for 25 years. Since 2005, he has been on an assignment as a deputy at the Morongo Basin Jail.

According to the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Office public release regarding the matter, a male accused Cox of sexually abusing him on more than one occasion when he was under the age of consent.

When the daughter of an Orange County woman believed her mother was going to drive drunk, the girl grabbed onto the car and was reportedly dragged as the woman accelerated.

44-year-old Erin Garcia lives in Laguna Niguel, and she has an 8-year-old daughter. Garcia’s mother resides in Placentia.

Around 11:30 PM on September 18, Garcia and her daughter were at her mother’s home.

A woman in West Virginia jumped into the Ohio River to try to escape the police after she allegedly snatched a young boy from a park and threw him in the water.

On August 27, a man and his young children were spending time together at Harris Riverfront Park in Huntington. The park runs alongside the Ohio River.

The father reported that a stranger approached while he and his children were seated at a picnic table. The unknown woman reportedly sat down without an invitation.

An Alabama man was arrested when the authorities intercepted an alleged meeting that he arranged to try to have sex with a child.

45-year-old Blake Thomas Martin is from Escambia County, Alabama.

According to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, their Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force was made aware of suggestive text messages they believed were sent by Martin. The texts were reportedly meant for an underage person.

A minister in Texas is facing charges for allegedly providing counseling and drugs to an underage girl to “groom” her for sexual relations with him.

45-year-old Brian Keith Pounds is the head minister at the First Assembly of God Church, and a chaplain at Tyson Foods, both in Vernon, Texas. He has reportedly worked with the church for nearly six years.

Pounds was reportedly giving counseling services to a 15-year-old girl in need of assistance.

A Texas high school teacher is facing charges after the school board alleged she had an inappropriate sexual relationship with a student.

Until recently, 32-year-old Katrina Maxwell was employed as a high school teacher at C.E. King High School in the Sheldon Independent School District.

Last October, Maxwell reportedly formed a close relationship with a 16-year-old student enrolled at the school.

When the great-grandmother of a 10-year-old boy reportedly allowed him to drive her vehicle because she had allegedly been drinking, the child caused an accident involving three cars.

75-year-old Lauren Burch Birk lives in a condominium in Largo, Florida. In 2017, she was arrested and convicted for driving under the influence.

A man allegedly holding a neighbor’s child captive in his basement and abusing her was caught by police, who asserted that he had intentions of murdering the girl.

On the evening of April 19, police in Lafayette, Indiana, were called by a concerned parent about her 9-year-old girl that had been missing for over half an hour.

When speaking with the parents about the situation, they reportedly told the authorities that the only person who had mentioned seeing their daughter was their neighbor, James Brian Chadwell II.

A New York couple has been accused of leaving a preschooler in a vehicle without supervision while they went shopping in an adult store.

Monae J. Blake, 28, and Victoria L. Mortensen, 25, are in a romantic relationship and reside in Utica. Mortensen has a 4-year-old child.

Around 8:00 pm on April 10, Mortensen and Blake reportedly went to the Amazing Intimate Essentials Adult Store in North Stonington, Connecticut. Mortenson’s child accompanied the couple on their excursion.
