Actor Gets DUI After Police Try to Assist With Uber

A man who formerly starred on a popular soap opera was allegedly intoxicated and helped by police officers when he was unable to order an Uber, but he was still charged with DUI when he did not take the Uber home and went to his vehicle instead.

On Sunday, May 20, 37-year-old Justin Torkildsen, a Daytime Emmy Award-winning actor who previously worked on The Young and the Restless was a patron in the St. Julien Hotel. While the Boulder, Colorado, native was there he reported that he had consumed four beverages resembling fruit punch and as he attempted to depart the staff believed he was intoxicated. They notified the Boulder Police for fear that it would be dangerous if Torkildsen attempted to drive in that condition.

Police arrived near 1:00 a.m. and they allegedly witnessed signs of inebriation in the way that Torkildsen was carrying himself.

Man Arrested for Burglary of Funeral Attendee Homes

After a string of burglaries beginning in March took place while the alleged victims were at funerals the authorities believe they have located and arrested the man responsible for the break-ins.

On March 7 a West Los Angeles resident was attending a funeral during the time that their home was being burglarized. Though the man who allegedly committed the offense was seen while in the act of stealing from the home they were unable to positively identify him.

A second burglary took place in Los Angeles on March 11 just after 2:00 p.m. while the occupants were also at a funeral. A man approached the home and rang the doorbell which activated a home security camera located inside of it. The suspect was caught on video while at the door and when no one answered he reportedly went to the back door of the home and tried to enter, but he was unable to get inside. He allegedly returned to the front of the house and kicked open the garage door which had an entrance to the residence, but the alarm system in place deterred him from pursuing the event further. The man, whose Mercedes was seen parked in the driveway of the home, pulled away but not before a detailed description of his automobile was uncovered.

Man Accused of Rigging Front Door to Electrocute His Pregnant Wife

A Florida man is suspected of constructing a contraption meant to cause injury by delivering a shock, and attaching it to the front door in an attempt to electrocute his wife who is currently with child.

On Tuesday, 32-year-old Michael Wilson, who is separated from his wife, allegedly told her that she should not use the garage door to enter her home because it was malfunctioning. He was also said to have made comments that involved keeping children from touching the front door. This alarmed his father-in-law and the authorities were notified about the questionable proclamation.

Flagler County Sheriff’s Department dispatched deputies to the house in order to investigate the situation, and they noticed charring near the handle of the door, and the door looked as if it was blocked off. They decided to enter the premises by kicking the door which reportedly threw a spark upon impact.

Property Owner Arrested for Assaulting Responding Firefighters

A Pennsylvania woman was taken into custody on December 23 when she was accused of assaulting firefighters who were working to put out a fire in a run-down garage.

The Pottsville Fire Department responded to an alert about a small fire burning in a decaying garage on the property of 36-year-old Kate Lynn Blatt, when it was discovered that part of the structure was set aflame by a homeless man. As crews worked to extinguish the flames Blatt was informed that she must take measures to secure the garage in order to deter other vagrants from attempting the same act in the future.

The fire department duty chief on scene reported that Blatt became ill-tempered and began quarreling with him. This caught the attention of two of the firefighters who tried to intervene and assist the chief in subduing Blatt, which caused her to become even more upset. Blatt then allegedly threatened to “knock out” the chief and she was asked by one of the firemen to refrain from assaulting anyone.

Man Faces 7 Felonies for Alleged Rape of 2 Teenagers

41-year-old Alejandro Hernandez Garcia from San Juan Capistrano, suspected of sexually assaulting two teenage females, is facing seven felony charges for forcible rape and sexual penetration by a foreign object.

The first victim, a 16-year-old girl from San Juan Capistrano, was familiar with Garcia before the assault. He allegedly raped her after forcing her into a garage, and she recognized him nearly a year later when he returned to the neighborhood where the assault took place.

The second incident took place approximately one month later. Garcia was said to have given a 19-year-old woman who was lost in Santa Ana a drink laced with an illegal substance, and then proceeded to rape her in the backseat of his car.
