A Dallas salon owner is fighting against the city, county, and state by opening her doors for services after reportedly ignoring citations and a restraining order demanding her to comply with the closures of nonessential businesses to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Shelley Luther has been the proprietor of Salon à la Mode for approximately three years.

On March 22, Dallas salons, massage parlors, and other businesses in the same category were shut down by Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins, as they were deemed nonessential while measures are taken across the globe in an attempt to combat the spread of COVID-19. According to the Governor, the closure of these types of businesses is expected to carry on through at least the middle of May.

A woman was arrested after she was reportedly seen spitting fruit pieces from her mouth into produce bins at Walmart costing the store hundreds of dollars in loss of product.

Around 7:00 pm on April 22, a manager at the Holly Hill Walmart was working on ordering stock online when she reportedly saw a woman tampering with a sealed package of guava.

The manager reported that the shopper removed the guava from the package and bit into it. The woman then allegedly spit the pre-chewed fruit into her hand before taking another bite and spitting it into the opposite hand. Pieces of the chewed fruit, in addition to spit from the shopper’s mouth reportedly sprayed throughout a bin containing loose limes.

A man from Louisiana was taken into custody after he allegedly became upset about his not receiving a COVID-19 stimulus check and set his mother’s shed on fire.

Avoyelles Parish resident Marvin Smith Jr. was reportedly in a foul mood last Friday when he learned he had not yet received his federal COVID-19 stimulus payment.

Around 1:00 pm, his allegedly hot-headed temperament reportedly caused the 51-year-old man to lash out at his mother about his frustrations.

A Salt Lake City man is facing charges after he allegedly threatened the mayor in addition to encouraging attendants to bring guns to a rally planned for protesting the shelter-in-place order.

A St. George resident planned a protest that took place last Saturday, and hundreds of people, many ignoring social distancing recommendations and without anything protecting their faces, showed up in Washington Square at the City-County Building to fight against orders put in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

One of the ways the event was promoted was on a Facebook page, and it was reported that a commenter, identified as 58-year-old Marlin Richard Baer, left a post that was deemed an attempt to orchestrate a violent outcome.

41-year-old Geoffrey Michael Fraiche and his wife, 38-year-old Laura Ann Webb-Fraiche, are both gynecologists who are employed in different hospitals in Pensacola, Florida.

The married couple, who lives in Gulf Breeze with their two children, reportedly drank a little alcohol which allegedly caused them to become mischievously playful.

A man was arrested last week after he allegedly made it known that he intended to use a homemade pipe bomb to blow up the Alice in Wonderland statue in Central Park.

Central Park’s Alice in Wonderland statue, created by José de Creeft has been a beloved fixture in New York City since 1959.

On April 9, friends and family members of 30-year-old Kevin Fallon reportedly received a text message from the man stating his alleged intention to plant and activate a bomb at the Alice in Wonderland sculpture in the park.

A New Jersey man was taken into custody on two separate occasions on the same day after he allegedly entered two different Wawa locations without a face mask and reportedly threatened to harm the people inside.

70-year-old Stephen Breza lives in Toms River, New Jersey.

Last Saturday morning, Breza allegedly went to a Wawa convenience store without a mask covering his face.

A Florida woman was taken into custody after she was accused of putting plastic Easter eggs filled with pornography and random items inside mailboxes at residences all over the county.

On April 5, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office reported that they started receiving complaints from many people who said they had found a plastic Easter egg filled with lewd images in their mailboxes.

Three nights later, the authorities said that calls resumed from disturbed residents in a different area with the same claims of finding toy plastic eggs filled with sexually explicit content in their mailboxes. Some of the callers additionally reported that they identified the person driving around distributing the allegedly offensive items as female.
