According to a press release from the Troupe County Sheriff’s Office, a detention officer has been accused of bringing contraband into the county jail and selling narcotics to several inmates. 

The Sheriff’s Office sergeant disclosed in a news release that 23-year-old Steven Michael Crowder began his position as a Troup County Sheriff’s Office detention officer at the Troupe County Jail in Georgia at the start of 2022. 

It was reported that last month, the authorities learned of allegations that Crowder was smuggling narcotics into the institution for the purpose of selling them to some of the inmates.

Rap artist Mystikal has been accused of physically and sexually assaulting a woman during a fight about $100 that he claimed she stole from him.   

51-year-old hip hop star Mystikal, whose birth name is Michael Tyler, is a Grammy nominee from New Orleans. He has been involved in several prior criminal cases, such as domestic abuse battery, first-degree rape, and second-degree kidnapping. He is also a lifetime registered sex offender. 

On July 30, Tyler was at his home in Ascension Parish with a female.

A Florida inmate allegedly injured a deputy by punching her in the face while she was being escorted to a pod and said that she did it out of boredom. 

23-year-old Jazmyne Levesque is from Tarpon Springs. She is currently an inmate at the Pinellas County jail.    

In May, Levesque reportedly stole 87 pieces of inventory from Ulta in Tarpon Springs. She was arrested for the $2,369.38 alleged theft and charged with felony grand theft, for which she was released on bond.

A teen accused of driving under the influence after crashing his car in Santa Rosa was allegedly found with drugs and a ghost gun in his residence.

19-year-old Luis Fajardo Melgoza lives in Santa Rosa, California.

Around 6:30 am on July 25, Melgoza was driving locally in a gray Honda Accord.

Four people from Missouri suspected of theft and burglary were tracked down after one of the men reportedly involved accidentally butt-dialed 911. 

Early in the morning on July 27, Cole County 911 received a call from someone who disconnected the line before they provided any information. 

The authorities found the location where the call came from, and Deputies from the Cole County Sheriff’s Office went to the address to see if someone needed help.

A Florida Man is facing several charges after being accused of stealing and selling a minimum of 125 cemetery vases so he could spend the money on fentanyl. 

31-year-old Douglas Deck Jr. lives in St. Petersburg, Florida. 

On July 21, a scrap metal yard in St. Petersburg notified the authorities about someone they identified as Deck Jr. that had visited their establishment on July 12, 13, 14, and 19 with bronze vases for sale. The vases are used for holding flowers and offerings at gravesites, but the man was reportedly selling them as scrap metal.

A man was accused of DUI after he reportedly drove a motorized scooter around the inside of a Florida Walmart store and nearly struck several people. 

39-year-old Aaron Gregory is from West Melbourne, Florida. 

On the morning of July 24, Gregory reportedly visited a Walmart store in Melbourne.

An officer with the Topeka VA reportedly got into a domestic dispute with a woman while off duty and allegedly pointed his gun at her head during the argument. 

Alexander Morris Harris, 43, is a Topeka VA police officer. According to reports, he was recently demoted. Harris stood with other officers to support the claims that the VA of Eastern Kansas uses discriminatory practices toward their employees. It was also reported that Harris has been having financial problems since his demotion. 

It was reported that Harris was at a Topeka residence with a woman early in the morning on July 24.

46-year-old Lauren Tracy lives in Mammoth Lakes. She has a 5-year-old child.

It was reported that at some point over the weekend, Tracy stepped out and left her child by themselves. 

Around 7:00 pm, a babysitter hired through a service showed up at the vacation home and figured she would meet with the mother of the child who would be left in her care.

Two Washington men were indicted by a grand jury after they allegedly put 9,000 fentanyl pills in potato chip containers and smuggled them into Whatcom County.  

Earlier this month, Special agents with Homeland Security Investigations Pacific Northwest received information that caused them to believe that a criminal organization from Mexico was smuggling fentanyl into Washington state. 

The authorities believed that Juan E. Hernandez-Hernandez and Alejandro Macias-Velazquez, residents of Washington, were involved in the smuggling.
