Three people were arrested last Saturday when they were accused of using paint to vandalize the newly added wooden casing surrounding the historic statue of Christopher Columbus in Rhode Island.

Just before the weekend, the statue of Christopher Columbus that sits in Columbus Square in the city of Providence was housed in a plywood container.

It was reported that the structure was constructed to protect the statue during an upcoming project involving machinery deemed a risk to the effigy, in addition to taking precautions against possible vandals during the recent protests.

A woman who allegedly posted screenshots of racist messages sent to her by her parents was arrested when it was asserted that she broke the law by doing so.

21-year-old Kaileigh Schmidt lives in Petal, Mississipi.

Schmidt and her parents, who reside in Ellisville, were recently reportedly experiencing family tension regarding their reaction to her going to a party where black people were in attendance.

A now-retired female corrections officer at the Idaho Department of Correction has been accused of sharing nude photos and having sexual relations with an inmate inside the prison’s haircut facility.

29-year-old Miranda Rose Ackerman began working with the Idaho Maximum Security Institution as a corrections officer in 2016. She reportedly used the name Miranda Jefferds while working at the facility.

At the beginning of April 2020, Ackerman turned in her resignation and left her position.

A woman is facing charges after she allegedly smacked a store employee and tore the protective mask off his face when she was told she would have to wear a face mask if she wanted to enter the establishment.

Around noon on May 20, an employee of Menards in Mankato, Minnesota reportedly encountered a woman trying to enter the store without a face covering.

The worker reportedly informed the woman about the store policy requiring face masks for all customers and employees, but she allegedly refused to follow the rule.

A man allegedly robbed items from a woman’s car and reportedly spent over $1100 in cash and unauthorized credit card purchases at Walmart and tobacco shops.

Spanish Fork, Utah resident Nakoda Stan Millet was accused of illegally entering the vehicle of a Chick-Fil-A worker while she was working her shift on June 8.

The 24-year-old alleged thief reportedly took off after tearing the stereo from the dash, and allegedly also scored the woman’s purse which held her wallet and credit cards.

A Pennsylvania man was taken into custody and charged after he was accused of raping the mother of his children and giving instructions about how to smoke weed to their 3-year-old.

33-year-old John Yurasits lives in Mount Holly Springs with his 3 children and their mom. The couple reportedly has a newborn, in addition to a 2-year-old and 3-year-old.

In May, the woman filed a complaint with Child Protective Services alleging Yurasits had sexually assaulted her several times and that she was afraid he might hurt the children.

A man is facing charges after he allegedly allowed a 12-year-old girl in his care to operate his SUV at a reported speed of 85 MPH.

Shaun Michaelsen is a 41-year-old resident of Jupiter, Florida.

On June 8, Michaelsen was reportedly caring for his female friend’s 12-year-old daughter and one of the preteen’s friends for a couple of days.

An intoxicated man from Massachusetts allegedly let himself into the zoo after hours so he could visit with the monkeys.

On June 2, when the employees at the Capron Park Zoo in Attleboro, which is closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, reported for work in the morning they believed someone had been on the premises after hours the previous night.

The workers reportedly found that one of the boats used for reaching two islands that house the lemur exhibit had been disturbed.

A man accused his girlfriend of smashing a burger in his face during a beef, and she is facing domestic battery charges for the allegedly messy incident.

47-year-old Tanya Cordero and her boyfriend are residents of Largo, Florida, and they have four children together who reportedly live in the custody of one of their grandparents.

The couple lives in a trailer in which Cordero’s partner’s mom is listed as the owner, but Cordero was reported as not living there full time.

After a protest at a Scottsdale mall, Jake Paul was accused of taking part in criminal trespassing and unlawful assembly, and he is fighting the allegations against him.

Last weekend, a protest took place at Fashion Square Mall in Scottsdale, Arizona, that involved in the illegal entry to the building after it was closed.

While inside, the protestors reportedly looted and destroyed sections inside of the mall.
