A brother and sister in South Carolina spent the night in jail after name-calling, punching, gunfire, a broomstick, and a can of bug spray were allegedly used during a fight about the proper way to cook chicken.

On the evening of July 28, a 27-year-old man was cooking dinner at his family home in Georgetown. His 25-year-old sister was also there, and she began complaining about the way he was seasoning the chicken. He explained that he knew what he was doing and let her know their grandmother was going to add the seasonings.

According to reports, the woman was unsatisfied with the response, and she told her brother he was a “dumb dog.” He allegedly responded by holding her down on the kitchen table with his body while punching her in the face multiple times. A person whose identity was not disclosed was in the house, and when they heard the ruckus, they reportedly grabbed a loaded firearm and shot a bullet through the ceiling. The woman then reportedly began chasing her brother with a knife. He believed his life was in danger, so he ran to his grandmother’s door. She exited the room and began striking her granddaughter with a broom handle.

A North Carolina man was arrested after he was allegedly involved in the shooting of a store employee who allegedly caught him trying to steal chicken.

On the evening of January 28, a man went to the Walmart Neighborhood Market in the Charlotte area to pick up dog food and chicken. When he was using the self-checkout, he allegedly did not scan the items. An employee believed he was trying to steal the food, and they approached the shopper to address the situation.

According to reports, when the worker talked to the man, he rang up the dog food. As he was walking out, the employee asserted that the customer was still trying to take the chicken without paying for it and he attempted to snatch the package from the alleged fowl thief.

A Florida man who has a long criminal history is facing charges after he allegedly pelted a convenience store worker with a piece of chicken coated with spicy sauce because he did not think it was fully cooked.

Early in the morning on December 17, a 32-year-old man from St. Petersburg walked into a local Wawa convenience store. While he was there, he ordered chicken covered with spicy Nashville sauce.

According to reports, when he received his food and began to eat it, he believed that it was undercooked. The man allegedly got angry and decided to bring it back to the counter, and he issued his complaint to the employee who initially served him. Few words were spoken before the man allegedly used the chicken to batter the worker. He allegedly threw the underprepared poultry in the direction of the employee, and it struck them in the face. The fiery sauce reportedly splashed into the worker’s eye.

A man is facing charges after he allegedly got into a fight with his brother and hit him in the head with a large, frozen bag of chicken.

On the evening of May 2, a man from West Monroe, Louisiana, and his 59-year-old brother were together in the mobile home they share. The man spotted two broken windows in the residence, and he asked his brother for information about the incident.

He was reportedly angered by the topic, and the man allegedly opened the freezer and began throwing the frozen goods at his brother. The alleged victim was reportedly hit in the head with a large bag of frozen chicken parts.

When a man and his girlfriend arrived home after going to a bar together, the woman got upset and allegedly struck him in the head with a chicken. 

On the evening of February 1, a couple from Eagle Lake, Minnesota, were spending time together at a local bar. 

When they left the establishment, the man was driving, and the woman was in the passenger seat. She allegedly started to get physically aggressive toward her beau. It is unclear what caused her anger, but she allegedly began to hit him. It was reported that she also spit in his face more than once.

The former food service director of an Illinois school district is facing charges after being accused of abusing her position by allegedly stealing $1.5 million worth of chicken wings.  

A woman in Cook County has spent more than a decade working as a food service director for Harvey School District 152. It was reported that one of her regular duties was to place orders with the food suppliers who work with the district. 

Last year, the school district’s budget was audited, and it was reportedly found to be approximately $300,000 over the allotted yearly amount, though the year was only half over.

A Florida woman allegedly dumped a bucket of urine on her neighbor when she reportedly became aggravated by his chicken after it pooped on her back patio. 

57-year-old Christine Terman resides in St. Petersburg in the Palm Haven Mobile Home Park. 

Around 10:00 PM on May 8, Terman and her 59-year-old boyfriend, Kevin Avery, were hanging out at her home when she noticed that one of her neighbors’ chickens had left a pile of excrement on her back patio.

A couple from Memphis who reportedly had a problem with the spiciness of the McDonald’s chicken sandwich allegedly responded by firing a gun at the restaurant, causing four people to get shot.

22-year-old Tavarus McKinney resides in Memphis, Tennessee, and he has several convictions on his record for various violent offenses.

On June 6, McKinney and Keonna Halliburton, 20, reportedly took a trip to a local McDonald’s. Halliburton ordered a spicy chicken sandwich.

After a man reportedly fought with staff over wearing a mask at a restaurant in Los Angeles, he allegedly pulled out a gun and demanded they hand over all of their cooked chickens.

Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles, founded in 1975, “is best known, as the name states, for serving chicken and waffles, both together and separately,” according to their website. The New York Times dubbed their establishment a “Beloved Soul Food Chain.”

On the evening of January 3, the restaurant was visited by a man who reportedly began to give a hard time when they informed him he would not be served if he did not wear a face mask.

A man was accused of domestic violence after he allegedly used raw chicken and laundry as weapons during a fight with his spouse.

34-year-old Thomas Reece and his wife of the same age live together in St. Petersburg, Florida where the man is also reportedly employed at Lowe’s.

On May 15, the pair were home together in the evening when they allegedly became entangled in a spat regarding what the police noted as “a family issue.”
