Two people are facing charges after an alleged arranged meeting for sex on the beach reportedly turned into a violent attack involving a hatchet.

Last week, a man was socializing with an 18-year-old female when he expressed that he had a desire to be tied up on the beach and sexually dominated. According to reports, the pair agreed to meet on the evening of October 30 in Ormond-By-The-Sea, an unincorporated area in Volusia County, to fulfill his wishes.

The woman said she would drive the pair to the location and picked up the man at his home. When they got to the area, the woman, who reportedly had a yellow rope with her, parked at Bicentennial Park so they could walk to a spot on the beach. She explained what happened, and the deputies took note of the marks on her throat. Her husband was in the house, and when he talked to the deputies, he reportedly told them he was going to use the rope to kill his wife before using it to kill himself. The man and woman both told the deputies that he attempted to smother her two weeks before the recent incident.
