A California man was arrested after he allegedly dragged a police officer into a moving vehicle during a reported armed robbery, according to the authorities.

The incident reportedly happened around 5:15 a.m. on February 20, when the authorities responded to a call about multiple suspects involved in a robbery at a grocery store. By the time officers arrived, at least one suspect was still in a vehicle outside the business.

According to the authorities, the situation quickly turned physical when an officer approached the vehicle and made contact with the driver. During the struggle, the suspect allegedly accelerated, pulling the officer into the vehicle as it moved forward. The vehicle then reportedly struck a police car and part of the nearby store.

A DUI charge filed against former BYU basketball player Kennard Davis Jr. was dismissed after authorities found no evidence of impairment.

According to court records, Davis was arrested in November after a two-vehicle crash at a Provo intersection and was later charged with a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence. He pleaded not guilty shortly after the charge was filed.

Reports indicated that police initially suspected impairment at the crash scene and conducted field sobriety tests along with a drug evaluation. The arrest was made based on those early observations, though later testing did not support the suspicion.

A confrontation at a Philadelphia car wash reportedly ended with a vehicle crash and fire after a woman allegedly drove into a man, according to the authorities.

The woman, 27, was later taken into custody days after the incident. Court records reportedly showed she faced multiple charges, including attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and several related offenses. She was released after posting a $75,000 bond.

The incident happened on a Wednesday while a 42-year-old man was working at the car wash. He reportedly told a local news outlet that his former partner of several years arrived unexpectedly and approached him while he was on the job.

A Florida man allegedly claimed he had an extraterrestrial encounter that resulted in him being transported into a vehicle he was accused of stealing.

The series of alleged events took place in Volusia County and began in Ormond Beach, where a BMW owner briefly stepped away from his vehicle at Bicentennial Park while walking his dog. The car had been left unlocked, and the keys were reportedly sitting inside. Deputies later said someone appeared to take advantage of that opportunity and drove away in the convertible. A witness in the park recalled seeing a man who seemed disoriented get into the BMW. The witness later told the authorities that the individual had behaved oddly and had asked for help lighting a cigarette.

Not long after the vehicle was reported stolen, deputies spotted it traveling at extremely high speeds, estimated at more than 130 miles per hour. The BMW eventually crashed near a local intersection. When deputies arrived, the car was already in flames, and passing motorists had begun pulling the driver from the wreckage. First responders also worked to extinguish the burning vehicle. Body-camera video later released by the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office showed the man was injured and had blood on his face.

A man in Southern Florida is facing several charges for allegedly nearly running over a construction worker while fleeing after he reportedly stole the man’s vehicle.

At the end of October, a construction worker who was on the job at a home in Sanibel had his day interrupted when a man in sweatpants who appeared to have come from the nearby beach reportedly wandered onto the premises. The worker tried to tell the alleged intruder they had to leave, but instead, the man reportedly tried to go into the shed. According to reports, after he found that the door was locked, the situation took a turn for the worse.

The construction worker had parked his vehicle on the property with the doors unlocked and the keys in the ignition. The unknown man reportedly climbed into the SUV and started the engine. As he began driving, he allegedly steered the vehicle in the direction of the worker in what was seen as an attempt to hit the man before he drove away. The authorities were notified, and officers from the Sanibel Police Department went to investigate.

An allegedly intoxicated driver in Central Missouri is facing multiple charges after reportedly striking two boys on bicycles with her SUV and driving away without stopping.

On the morning of September 6, a bicycle race was scheduled to take place at Binder Park in Jefferson City. As participants were warming up before the event began, two boys who were riding together were involved in a dangerous situation. According to reports, an SUV plowed directly into the pair while making a wide turn, and the driver allegedly immediately left the scene without trying to assist. One of the juveniles was able to avoid injury, but the other was hurt during the crash. Both of the bicycles, which had a combined estimated value of $14,000, were destroyed.

The authorities were notified, and officers from the Jefferson City Police Department began investigating the incident. The boy who was injured was taken to a local hospital, and it was reported that he may have sustained a broken ankle. The police began searching for an SUV matching the description of the one involved in the crash, and they found it nearby. They identified the driver as a 25-year-old woman from Fulton. It was believed that she was intoxicated, and the authorities learned that she was still on probation from a previous DWI conviction. When her BAC was tested, a result of .252 was reported.

A man in Alabama who was accused of burglarizing multiple vehicles allegedly led the pursuing officers on a chase and crashed into several police cars before he was arrested.

According to reports, on August 27 in the historic college town of Auburn, at least three vehicle owners found that they were missing personal items from their cars, which they believed had been burglarized. When one of the alleged victims of the purported thefts notified the authorities, he reported that the perpetrator was spotted while they were in his vehicle. The police opened an investigation and began searching for the suspect. It didn’t take long for the officers to spot the man they believed was responsible for the thefts, as he was driving a car in the same neighborhood, but it was reportedly far from easy for law enforcement to catch him.

When the police tried to initiate a traffic stop, the driver allegedly ignored them and continued driving. It was reported that he drove to the Interstate onramp and forced the officers to chase him down the highway. Police vehicles were parked near one of the mile markers, and the suspect reportedly slammed into them, rendering his car inoperable. He got out of the vehicle and allegedly tried to run away, but he did not get far before the police nabbed him.

A Florida man was arrested after it was believed that he was the owner of an alleged drug-carrying drone that crashed into someone’s residence.

Early in the morning on August 19, residents of a home in Lutz were inside when a loud noise outside caught their attention. They believed the sound originated from the backyard area, and when they went to investigate, they reportedly found a drone on the ground. When they brought it inside, they alleged that there were bags of what looked like narcotics attached to the object. A few moments later, a man reportedly knocked on their door a few times and asked if he could enter the yard. The homeowners notified the authorities.

Deputies from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office went to the address to investigate, and they saw a man in the driveway with a remote control in his hand. He reportedly told them he was trying to get the drone, and the deputies presumed the attached baggies also belonged to him. They believed he was trying to use the drone to deliver the drugs, later identified as methamphetamine and fentanyl.

A woman from Southern Illinois was arrested after she was allegedly caught carrying merchandise that was allegedly swiped from a store in the trunk of a vehicle that had been reported stolen.

On the morning of August 4, law enforcement in the St. Louis area was notified by an individual who reported that their car had been stolen. Later that afternoon, Monroe County Sheriff’s Department investigators believed they spotted an automobile matching the description of the one that had been taken. It was reported that they trailed behind the vehicle while waiting for backup law enforcement agents from the sheriff’s department. Things reportedly became complicated when the additional units showed up, and the driver allegedly did not respond to an attempted traffic stop.

According to reports, the woman behind the wheel, who also had a passenger in the vehicle, got on the Interstate and forced the deputies to chase her for approximately 5 miles. Their pursuit was cut short in St. Louis when the vehicle crashed, forcing the driver to stop. The deputies searched the interior and reported that they found multiple items in the trunk that they believed had been swiped from a business in the area.

A man in South Texas was arrested on multiple charges after allegedly threatening and endangering his mother’s life to force her to give him money and then throwing an acid-like substance at responding law enforcement officers.

According to reports, last weekend, a 38-year-old man went to his mother’s apartment in San Antonio without an invitation, and reportedly illegally entered. He allegedly wanted the 73-year-old woman to withdraw money from the ATM and give it to him. He reportedly tried coercing her using threats to light her on fire, in addition to telling her he would crash the car and end both their lives. It was reported that she was able to jump out of the moving vehicle, and the man’s father notified the authorities.

When alerting the San Antonio Police Department about the situation, the reportedly concerned dad informed them that he believed his son planned to attack the officers with nitric oxide when they arrived. When law enforcement went to the apartment to investigate, they were allegedly exposed to a substance that sizzled when it landed on the ground. He allegedly followed up by throwing a Molotov cocktail in their direction before locking himself in a different apartment.
