After a collision between two cars took place causing several injuries in early September the woman who has been held responsible for the wreck has pleaded not guilty after being charged with child abuse and driving under the influence of marijuana.

Late in the evening on September 2, 20-year-old Adriana Sabrina Cadena was allegedly under the effects of marijuana when she was involved in a wreck with another vehicle in Orange, CA. With four people traveling in one car and six in the other, a total of ten people were a part of the accident. All of them were injured, though some more than others and four of the victims were children.

All of the people in the wreck reported that they were in pain, and one of them sustained broken bones. The four children who were passengers at the time of the collision were all reported as injured, and some of the victims were treated at the Children’s Hospital of Orange. Orange Police Department’s Sgt. Phil McMullin reported that Cadena would be charged for eight of the victims.

Early in the morning on April 23 a Washington man who hit the back of the car in front of him in a fast food restaurant drive-thru was arrested after authorities alleged that he was in possession of illegal drugs.

46-year-old Russell Reubin Stewart of Southport was visiting a McDonald’s and attempting to use the drive-thru just prior to 2:00 a.m. when his Nissan Altima collided with the back end of the car in front of him in the lane. Stewart then reportedly tried to drive away.

A Washington County sheriff’s deputy happened to be behind Stewart’s vehicle at the time and he saw the alleged event take place. The deputy began to pursue Stewart in order to pull him over before he was able to leave the parking lot.

A South Carolina man reportedly attacked officers during a drug arrest causing one of them serious injury and harming another. He is facing several charges for the assault.

Demetrius Lamont Jamison, a 26-year-old man who resides in Orangeburg, was walking home on Thursday around 4:30 p.m. He decided to walk through a wooded area near the Craven Lane Trailer Park to get to his destination.

At the time that Jamison was walking officers from the Orangeburg Department of Public Safety were in the process of investigating a report that there had been gunshots fired at the trailer park.

A mother is facing several charges after a police investigation led authorities to suspect that she was giving drugs to her 2-year-old and encouraging the child to use the substances.

In mid-January, authorities received a tip from a person reporting that they allegedly knew of a woman who was exposing her baby to methamphetamines and marijuana. It was also reported that the woman, identified as 20-year-old Kaitlyn Ecker, was permitting the child to partake in use of the illicit substances.

The Wakulla County Sheriff’s Department’s Persons Crimes Unit of the Criminal Investigations Division began looking into the claim and spoke with people who had been in contact and proximity of Ecker. During their statements, several of them confirmed that Ecker allegedly gave the child drugs and that she was even known to joke that the toddler was able to “roll joints.”

A 46-year-old man was arrested for allegedly dropping his pants in a supermarket parking lot while he proceeded to kick trashcans and punch cars.

When Indian River County Sheriff’s Department deputies entered the parking lot of a Publix supermarket in a Vero Beach, Florida, on the evening of Thursday, April 19 they discovered a man, later identified as Wisconsin native Jonathan Boettcher, sweating heavily and acting erratically. Boettcher was allegedly screaming while his pants and underpants were pulled down, and he was reportedly waving his arms wildly.

Boettcher was approached and questioned by a deputy regarding the behavior he was allegedly displaying. He disclosed that he had only consumed one beer and smoked a portion of a marijuana cigarette in a homeless camp located in the back of the market. He further stated that he removed his pants because one of his friends had driven by and mooned him causing him to drop his drawers and respond in kind, and his perspiration was caused by the hot weather that he was unaccustomed to.

When police allegedly discovered a woman’s purse contained cocaine she told them that she suspected the wind had blown it into her bag.

On March 21 around 10:15 p.m. Port St. Lucie resident Kennecia Posey and three of her friends were riding together in a vehicle. Officer Samuel Pierce of the Fort Pierce Police Department and two fellow officers were on a routine patrol in the vicinity of the car and reportedly spotted automobile weaving in and out of the lane in which it was traveling.

Officer Pierce performed a traffic stop on the Toyota in order to assess the situation. As he advanced upon the vehicle Pierce allegedly detected a potent odor of marijuana coming from inside. Posey and her three companions were asked to exit the car and a search was performed.

A video that made the rounds on Facebook depicting a toddler smoking what is assumed to be marijuana has resulted in her mother facing felony charges.

In a video reportedly recorded sometime between December 1 and January 31, a 1-year-old little girl is seen giggling and then what looks as if she has a small brown cigar held to her lips by an adult-sized hand. Smoke is then shown surrounding the baby’s head. The video was then uploaded to the popular social network Facebook.

The recording gained millions of views after it began circulating online, and police reported that many people notified them reporting what they had seen which prompted them to begin an investigation.

On February 7 at a hotel in Aberdeen, Maryland, Glen “Big Baby” Davis was arrested on drug charges when the acclaimed former NBA player was allegedly found in possession of a large quantity of marijuana.

Early in February ex-basketball player Glen Davis, who previously played for the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Clippers, was the guest at a Hampton Inn during a visit to the area to see his family. On one of the days that Davis was renting the room the owner of the establishment claimed that he detected the odor of cannabis permeating outside of the suite.

The proprietor knocked on the door to investigate the situation and he reported that he was greeted by someone occupying the room yelling expletives, and the door remained unanswered.

A 68-year-old woman was arrested for bringing contraband into a prison when she gave her grandson a bag of Doritos that she said she was unaware contained illegal substances.

Tennessee resident Sarah Griffin is the grandmother of Cody Clements who is currently serving time at the Shelby County Corrections facility. Griffin paid a visit to her grandson on Saturday and brought him a bag of Doritos chips.

An officer working at the facility noticed when Clements was passed the Doritos by his grandmother and he approached the inmate. The officer reported that he asked Clements to relinquish the snack bag and before handing it over Clements purportedly removed an object from the bag.

A Connecticut couple that was reportedly in the midst of a physical fight inside of an automobile was apprehended by officers who discovered four ounces of marijuana and assorted paraphernalia in the vehicle.

On Wednesday evening Josh Wantanabe and his girlfriend Amanda Gordon, both 21-years-old, were allegedly involved in a physical fight while inside a car that was parked in an empty lot near the end of a highway exit ramp.

Just before 8:30 p.m. the Seymour Police Department issued a complaint to the Ansonia Police Department about the altercation and officers from both agencies met at the scene.
