In early September, three Iowa residents were arrested following an incident where they allegedly took photos of teenagers with nooses around their necks at Lake Wapello State Park in Iowa.

According to reports, the adults believed to be involved have been accused of forcing two teens to pose for photos with nooses hanging from a tree branch around their necks. The incident reportedly happened on August 11 near a cabin in the Lake Wapello State Park.

The criminal complaint contains an account of what the authorities believe happened during the incident. They reported that the three suspects allegedly tied a noose, hung it from a tree, and instructed the teenagers to retrieve a chair. The teens were then reportedly told to stand on the chair while the nooses were placed around their necks. Afterward, the suspects reportedly took photographs of the teenagers. It is not clear why the pictures were allegedly taken, or what possible motives the accused parties had.

An Iowa man was arrested after being stabbed by a woman with a pocketknife who was reportedly trying to get away from him while he allegedly violently attacked her.

Late in the afternoon on July 1, a woman was at her desk using her computer in a Dubuque apartment while a 36-year-old man who also resides there was hanging out and drinking. According to reports, the day turned violent when the man allegedly picked up her cell phone and threw it in the direction of the woman. The device reportedly struck her on the chin.

The man allegedly approached and overturned her desk. He reportedly began striking her and trying to pull off her clothing, in addition to inhibiting her from getting up by holding her down with his knee on her neck. The woman had a pocketknife within her reach, and she used it to stab the man so she could try to escape.

A Florida man was arrested after allegedly trapping a gas station attendant in the bathroom with him, attacking and cutting her with a box knife until the police arrived.

Early in the morning on June 1, a 62-year-old man went to a RaceTrac Gasoline Service Station in Longwood and bought a cup of coffee. It was reported that he left, but returned a bit later and went into the men’s bathroom.

He reportedly came out of the facilities and let one of the staff members know that there was no toilet paper, and asked if they could get some for him. When an employee went in to restock, the man, who reportedly had a box knife, allegedly trapped her and locked the door. He then reportedly attacked her and threw her on the ground. As she struggled to break free, the man allegedly started cutting her with the blade.

The adoptive mother of a 22-year-old with special needs is facing multiple charges after she allegedly chained the woman to a bed frame by the neck and left her in her own excrement for almost a week.

Just after midnight on May 29, a woman returned home from the store and reportedly heard screaming coming from the second floor. When she went to inspect, the woman reportedly discovered her mentally disabled adopted older sister. She allegedly had a chain around her neck keeping her bound to the bed frame in the room. Her hips were held in place with a bicycle lock, and her sister found the key and freed her.

The authorities were notified, and it was reported that the mother returned to the residence until she learned the police were coming. Her younger daughter kept her away from the room. She did not want her mother to move anything around before the officers could inspect it. Before the police got there, the mother reportedly took the chain and lock and left the residence.

The long-distance boyfriend of a woman in Texas reportedly stabbed her with a pair of scissors and forced her to write a suicide note before allegedly attempting to take her to Mexico against her will.

On March 29, a 21-year-old man who had been engaging in a long-distance relationship with a woman from College Station for over a year allegedly went to her residence without an invitation. The woman allowed him to come inside, and while he was there, he allegedly stabbed a pair of scissors into her neck. What was assumed to be a suicide note was reportedly left in her apartment, and the man allegedly made her leave with him in his vehicle. He reportedly planned to take her to Mexico.

According to reports, the alleged victim sent text messages to her father and told him she needed him to call the police. The authorities were notified, and the College Station Police Department began to investigate the situation. They used the woman’s cell phone signal to get a location, and officers found the pair at a local CVS store.

A Florida man donning a pair of underwear around his neck may face criminal charges after he was reportedly found wandering around in an area where two bonsai trees worth $7,000 had recently been stolen.

According to reports, a few weeks ago, someone swiped both trees from a home on a residential street in Cape Coral. Late in the evening on January 11, neighbors on the same block noticed a man on the property from which the trees were taken. There were additional bonsais at the residence, and it raised their suspicions when they spotted the alleged interloper.

One of the neighbors notified the authorities by phone, and when describing the man, they said he was wearing all dark clothing with a dark mask covering his face.

A Florida Man wearing a cat costume is facing attempted murder charges after allegedly stabbing his roommate in the neck.

At approximately 5:45 PM on May 23, the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office received an alert about a situation involving a man who had been stabbed in the neck by his roommate at a residence in North Gainesville.

Deputies went to the home to investigate, and a dispatcher informed them that the alleged victim was injured so badly that blood was shooting out of the wound.

A man from Hartford, Connecticut is facing charges after someone on the road called and informed the police that he was driving his vehicle unsafely, in addition to the police allegedly finding him abusing a woman who was riding as a passenger.  

At approximately 9:00 PM on March 24, a 20-year-old was driving down a highway in South Windsor with a female passenger. 

People driving along the same route reportedly noticed that the car was being operated in a way that they considered to be unsafe.

A Florida man allegedly sliced his friend with a razor blade several times when they got into a fight outside of a gas station market.

Early in the morning on September 4, three men were hanging out together and they visited a Shell station convenience store in Holiday, Florida.

After they left the store, two of the men reportedly got into an argument. The fight quickly escalated and became physical.

A man in Kentucky has pleaded not guilty to accusations that he punched the Louisville Mayor in the neck during a Juneteenth celebration last weekend. 

On the evening of June 18, a celebration in honor of Juneteenth was held at the “Fourth Street Live!” retail complex in Louisville. 

Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer (D) was an attendee at the event.
