The mother of a teenage boy allegedly kneeled on his throat until he was unable to breathe as she reportedly threatened to end his life in the same manner as George Floyd’s.

37-year-old Keriann C. Smith lives in a Genoa City, Wisconsin apartment with her 14-year-old son, and a daughter whose age has not been disclosed at this time.

On June 20, Smith reportedly attacked her son and allegedly applied a substantial amount of pressure to the boy’s throat using her knee.

A superintendent of an Indiana school district has been accused of insurance fraud after she reportedly brought a student for medical treatment and said he was her son so that she could use her insurance to cover the services.

Casey Smitherman is the superintendent of a school district just outside of Indianapolis in the small town of Elwood, where many of the residents are reported as falling into the low-income category.

Smitherman had become acquainted with a 15-year-old boy who attends school in Elwood and she reportedly felt concern for the recent conditions at his home. She stated that she had, on occasion, given the teen clothing and assisted with household chores to try to provide a bit of relief.

The father of a teen boy is facing charges after driving his son and an underage girl to the park where the teenagers reportedly engaged in sexual activity.

On Sunday night around 11:40 pm, an officer noticed a Toyota in a parking space at McChesney Park. When he went up to the man sitting in the driver’s seat to find out why he was at the location after hours the man reportedly said that he had given his 15-year-old son and a 15-year-old girl a ride to the park.

The officer reported that he asked why the man, identified as 53-year-old Laurence Mitchell, would take his son and the girl to a park in the middle of the night. Mitchell allegedly said that he believed they were just being teenagers and doing “what kids do,” and that they were not causing any trouble.

A teenage boy called the police for assistance reporting that his mother had tried to wake him up for church on Easter Sunday with a taser. The woman is facing charges for the allegations.

On Easter morning 40-year-old Phoenix resident Sharron Dobbins, a single mother, was in the process of waking her two teenage sons for church.

The boys were giving her a hard time and Dobbins began to get aggravated and upset with their behavior. After telling them to get out of bed because it was “Jesus’ day,” she requested that her 16-year-old ask his friends to go home. He argued saying that his friends did not have to leave and he began using foul language toward his mother.

A mother in Maryland is facing charges after allegations that she used a saw to try to decapitate her 11-year-old autistic son when she became overwhelmed with concern about the child’s future.

46-year-old Kristina Petrie and her husband of 15 years share a home in Aspen Hill with their two autistic sons. Kristina is a stay-at-home parent while her husband Andrew reportedly has a full-time professional career. One of the Petrie’s neighbors stated that Kristina appeared to spend many of her days taking her children on outings and working outdoors maintaining her yard.

On the afternoon of March 12, Petrie’s 11-year-old returned from school to find his mother allegedly having mood swings that took her from crying to laughing within minutes. The child saw his younger brother in tears on the sofa and he proceeded upstairs to his room to play video games before beginning his homework.

A single mother of four in North Carolina is facing charges after locking the door to her house with while she attended a Christmas gathering while her 10-year-old son was unable to get into the home. The boy had allegedly spent near five hours outside in the time she was away.

43-year-old Susan Dowless was taking her family to a Christmas party to celebrate the holiday when one of her children who was playing at a friend’s house did not come home at the time she requested. After she waited an hour she concluded that the boy was staying with his friend and she left for the dinner with her three other children.

When the child came home he found that the door was locked and his family was not there. A neighbor notified the authorities when they spotted the boy roaming around the area by himself while he waited for them to return.

A Phoenix mother who was found by police nearly two weeks after family members reported that she and her three-year-old son were missing has been accused of child abuse. She denies the allegations and is seeking a lawyer to help defend her innocence.

When law enforcement located Taquila Wilson and her son they noticed he had several blemishes on his body that they believed were injuries. Wilson was questioned about the marks, and she told police that her child suffers from a skin disease.

Officers also believed the toddler suffered from “Cauliflower Ear,” which is often caused by physical trauma. Medical staff at Phoenix Children’s Hospital examined the child and they agreed with the police’s initial assessment.
