On February 5, 2017, following the 51st Super Bowl game, a man who authorities came to believe was driving under the influence of alcohol was involved in a hit-and-run accident when his vehicle made impact with a bicyclist. He reportedly drove off quickly without stopping after the incident took place.

An investigation to locate the perpetrator of the accident, which occurred in Laguna Niguel, was opened by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. Their findings led them to believe that the person responsible for the event was 53-year-old Timothy Anthony Cronin.

As a part of their year-long inspection of the evidence, authorities collected statements from people who had been in his presence that day, and those interrogated informed deputies that Cronin, a proclaimed New England Patriots fan, was allegedly intoxicated on Super Bowl Sunday in 2017. Investigators surmised that Cronin was on his way home from a celebration and under the influence when the accident took place.

On Thursday afternoon in Stafford County, Virginia, a teenager was accused of assaulting a school bus driver after having a verbal altercation over the release of one of the students on the bus.

Between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m. a teenage boy approached a school bus in order to pick up one of the student riders. The driver of the bus was a substitute, and he possessed a list from the school instructing him of who he had permission to release each child into the care of. The boy’s name did not appear on the list for the child he was trying to chaperone, and the driver explained that he would have to call the school for permission before he could allow the student to exit the bus.

The boy, who deputies later identified as the brother of the child he was attempting to retrieve, allegedly became angered and entered the bus. It was reported that they began arguing and the teen punched the bus driver in the face leaving an open wound on his forehead. In addition, the bus monitor on board was hit in the face while attempting to guard the students.

A Texas woman has been charged with creating an account on Craigslist in her soon-to-be ex-husband’s new girlfriend’s name and personal information and using it to place an ad seeking married sexual partners.

48-year-old Tamantha Johnson, a woman married to a divorce attorney and working as a nurse in Houston, Texas, has been in the process of a divorce from her husband since last April.

Johnson suspected her husband was dating someone new, and she allegedly used unorthodox means in order to coerce the woman she believed to be his girlfriend into admitting she was sleeping with the man.

A Riverside County woman who worked as a foreclosure specialist at Fannie Mae in Irvine has been accused of taking over $1 million through accepting bribery and employing fraudulent sales practices with company-owned properties.

Shirene Hernandez, a 45-year-old resident of Riverside County, was a real estate owned foreclosure specialist for the government-sponsored Fannie Mae in Irvine. Her job duties entailed matching properties owned by the company with brokers and accepting sales offers when proposed by the brokers.

During a time period spanning from April 2011 and July 2016 Hernandez has been accused of personally profiting off of the sales transactions of the properties through fraudulent means. Court documents reflect that Hernandez allegedly accepted gifts and cash from certain brokers in order for them to gain the listing so they would profit off of the sales commissions. In addition, some of the foreclosed properties were said to have been purchased by Hernandez at a price below market value, using different names, and then rented out for profit. In total, it was estimated that Hernandez acquired more than $1 in profits from the alleged fraud.

A Florida man employed by an online company that offers their customers by-the-hour service of a skilled captain for their personal boats has been accused of DUI while operating a client’s vessel.

A boat owner seeking a captain to take him and his guests to the yearly Gasparilla invasion festival found what he was looking for on AnchorRides.com. This service provides “on demand” booking for captains to operate personal boats for a fee of $50 an hour, and matches clients with personnel based on location.

24-year-old Nathan Stasio was hired for an 8-hour period to provide captain services on the man’s boat during the historical Tampa, Florida, pirate-themed event for the man and his guests.

An Alabama man who set up a date with a woman he had met online was the alleged victim of a robbery by four people, one of which was identified as the woman he was supposed to meet for the date.

The purported victim had made the acquaintance of 29-year-old Rikki Alisha Perry online through a dating application, and they decided that they would like to meet in person for a date.

The man set up the encounter for Tuesday evening, but he reported that Perry never arrived for their plans.

A man who was being sought by the authorities for allegedly abusing his ex-girlfriend’s 3-year-old child by hitting her with a belt and sticking her in the oven turned himself on Thursday, and he is vehemently fighting the accusations against him.

45-year-old Terry Lee May, a father of five, had been taking care of his ex-girlfriend’s toddler for a few weeks after the woman left him to look after the young girl. When the child’s mother returned to pick her up she claimed she had discovered marks on her body.

The mother notified the authorities and the Department of Children and Families in order to report her daughter’s injuries. The child reportedly suffered burns to her ears and ankles, and what was assessed as belt markings on other parts of her body. It was concluded that the child had been beaten and then placed inside of an oven while she was in May’s care. The child told the officials that May had struck her with a belt more than once.

A man who crashed a wedding in Wisconsin took a blow from the bride when she learned he was allegedly acting in a lewd manner by touching and flirting with several of the teenage girls in attendance.

25-year-old William Dickinson and a male coworker had been hanging out in a local hotel bar and having drinks when they reportedly decided to crash a wedding in search of women.

Dickinson purportedly began acting inappropriately with teenage girls at the celebration. He approached two females, aged 17 and 18, and attempted to dance with them. They were uninterested in his advances and tried to move away from Dickinson, but according to the complaint, he asked the 18-year-old to join him in his hotel room. When the girls began moving away from Dickinson he reached out and grabbed the girl’s bottom.

A Georgia man who was dining at a Waffle House on Tuesday has been accused of disorderly conduct after an alleged argument with the employees over the establishment’s lack of barbecue sauce.

When Willie Edward Drake went to a Waffle House in Macon for a meal in the early morning hours on January 23, he requested his server bring him an accompaniment of barbecue sauce with his order.

After being informed that the restaurant did not carry that condiment Drake allegedly became angered by the unavailability of the sauce. Three employees reportedly attempted to politely reason with him, but his frustration appeared to heighten.

Four children were taken into custody by the Los Angeles County Department of Child and Family Services on Tuesday when a child abuse investigation at their home uncovered illegal firearms and ammunition stored in the open and unsecured.

Paul Anthony Cruz, a father and convicted felon, was being interviewed by South Pasadena police at his home on January 23, due to suspicions that his children were being abused. A social worker from the Los Angeles County Department of Child and Family Services was also present.

While inside the home and speaking to the father, officers allegedly discovered a semi-automatic assault-style rifle that was fully loaded inside of the bedroom of one of the children. The social worker took custody of the four children residing with Cruz; three youngsters and one 11-year-old boy.
