According to reports, the woman had the light on her front porch turned on, giving the children the impression that they were welcome to approach her residence.

An allegedly drunk woman with her two youngsters in the car smashed into a gas pump at a Ceres station causing an explosion that injured her and the children.

On June 27, 23-year-old Isabel Zepeda put her two children, ages 4 and 5, in the back seat and got into her Nissan sedan.

While driving in Ceres, Zepeda was reportedly coming off of Highway 99 at a high speed with the car moving in the direction of a Shell gas station.

A registered sex offender in Missouri was taken into custody when it was reportedly discovered that he was working as a ride operator at a local festival.

55-year-old Victor Allen Jacobs resides in Moberly, Missouri.

According to court documents, Jacobs was convicted of rape in 2001, and when he was released from prison he was ordered to register as a sex offender.

A daycare worker who tends to children in her residence was arrested after a baby died while in her care, and the authorities suspect she has abused several other children.

53-year-old Dana McNair lives in an unincorporated area of El Paso County. Though she reportedly does not hold a state license, she provides childcare in her house for several youngsters. The children reportedly range in age from 3-months to 7-years-old.

In early February, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office was notified about an infant at McNair’s home who was unresponsive.

The passenger of a car on the Interstate in Missouri allegedly fired three shots at a vehicle holding a mother, father, and four youngsters.

On June 15, 22-year-old Shanyka Fouche and her 2-year-old were reportedly passengers in a Ford Focus driven by another woman.

Around 3:00 pm, while the Focus was on I-55 in Jefferson County, they reportedly drove up behind a Nissan Pathfinder with a family of six inside. Four of the passengers were children, ages 2 to 11. The mother was driving the SUV, and the dad was in the passenger’s seat.

Three people are accused of child endangerment after five children were reportedly discovered in a handmade wooden box attached to the bed of the pickup truck in which they were traveling.

On the afternoon of May 12, the temperature outside was recorded as having a high ranging being between 90 to 100-degrees in the Needles area of San Bernardino County, California.

According to a release from the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department, near 2:00 pm, the authorities received from a phone call requesting service at a rest stop claiming there might be youngsters riding in the back of a pickup truck inside a crate. The caller reportedly suspected the children might be in danger.

Two women were nabbed while allegedly attempting to leave a Walmart store with stolen merchandise while the store was filled with law enforcement agents and families during the annual “Shop With a Cop” event.

Shop With a Cop, a nationally recognized effort supported by donations, tries to help families with children who have been victims of crimes or are suffering from financial hardships. Some of their outreach is meant to facilitate a trusting relationship between children and law enforcement in cases where children have had interactions with police during criminal situations. The children and their families meet at Walmart and law enforcement agents take children through the store filling baskets with toys and goodies they desire for the holiday season.

On the morning of December 10 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, local families were gathered with their children at Walmart so they could take part in the “Shop With a Cop” event.
