A Florida woman was placed under arrest and jailed after she reportedly walked up to police officers and handed over a couple of bags of methamphetamine before telling them that she wanted to be incarcerated. 

On the evening of August 30, officers with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office were conducting an investigation in the vicinity of the Red Tiki Bar and Grill in St. Petersburg, Florida. 

Just after 9:30 PM, a woman reportedly randomly walked up to a corporal who was working on investigating the scene of an unrelated situation.

A special education elementary school teacher was arrested after three families accused her of physically and verbally assaulting their children. 

Last May, two teacher’s assistants reported that a special education teacher at Grassfield Elementary School in Chesapeake, Virginia, was treating some of her students abusively. The assistants said they saw the teacher hurting the children in her class. 

One of the three students the teacher is accused of harming is 11 years old and non-verbal. The child’s mother said her daughter had a recent behavior change, and she believed it was due to the alleged mistreatment of the girl.

An assistant manager at a Florida Dollar Tree store allegedly took her 15-year-old son to the store to assist her in stealing over $5,000 during a staged robbery. 

According to reports, one of the duties of the assistant manager at Dollar Tree is to handle the after-hours cash bank deposits when the store closes. 

In the middle of August, some of the deposits were reportedly never received by the bank.

When a Florida woman believed to be driving under the influence of alcohol was asked to take a roadside sobriety test, she performed several dance moves instead of following the officer’s instructions.  

On April 27, a woman was driving her vehicle within a mile of her residence in Madeira Beach when she reportedly caused a car accident. It was reported that she slammed into the back of another automobile. 

The police arrived at the site of the collision and spoke to her about the incident.

A man accused of carrying a gun around in an apartment complex was taken into custody after the police chased him and allegedly found him in possession of drugs and the firearm. 

Late in the morning on August 26, someone called the authorities and told them that a man holding a firearm was walking around their apartment complex. 

Officers with the Portage Police Department went to the reported address to investigate.

A man physically attacked his stepson-to-be when he reportedly caught the man sexually abusing his five-year-old granddaughter.

22-year-old Aaron Michael Cunagin lives in Middletown, Pennsylvania. He is engaged to be married to a local woman.

On August 24, Cunagin was spending time with his fiancé and her family members. His fiancé’s father, in addition to more than one child, was at the residence.

A Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy allegedly crashed a patrol car while driving under the influence and fled from the scene before the authorities arrived. 

50-year-old Carlos Lopez is a sheriff with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Santa Clarita Valley Patrol. He is on the department’s Special Enforcement Bureau. 

On the night of August 26, Lopez was driving his patrol car in the unincorporated community of Stevenson Ranch in the Santa Clarita Valley.

A registered sex offender on probation for previously trying to purchase a child has been arrested for allegedly attempting to buy another youngster. 

85-year-old Hellmuth Kolb lives northeast of Orlando in Port Orange, Florida. In 2018, he was convicted for offering to buy a child for $200,000. He is still on probation, and he is required to register as a sex offender as well as stay away from children. 

On August 16, Kolb reportedly went into a local Winn-Dixie grocery store.

A Tennessee man is facing over three dozen theft charges after being accused of using the identities of others to steal over $260,000 from his job. 

37-year-old Lashawn Green worked as a manager at the People Ready temp agency in Covington Pike from December 2020 until February 2022. 

Employees of People Ready are issued a debit card for their pay to be direct deposited, and they use a digital app as a timecard to track their hours.

A man was arrested after allegedly kidnapping a child by using a cat to lure her out of her home in the middle of the night. 

Around 11:00 pm on August 20, the parents of a 3-year-old girl turned in for the night while their upstairs neighbors were having a gathering. 

When they woke up at approximately 5:30 am, the couple noticed that their front door was open and their daughter was not inside the home. They thought that the child may have gone upstairs after they fell asleep.
