A Florida man was arrested last weekend after being accused of whipping and hitting his daughter because she did not want to go to church.

On the morning of September 28, a 63-year-old man and his minor daughter reportedly had a violent encounter in the Miami Gardens home where they reside with relatives. The incident allegedly occurred after the man went into the girl’s room and tried to insist that she get up and attend church, but she would not go. He reportedly became angry, and after allegedly punching her, it was believed that he hit her with an electrical cord. According to reports, the girl went into the yard and called the authorities. Her father also called 911 regarding the incident.

Officers went to the residence to investigate, and they reported that they went into the yard to talk to the girl. They noted that she had a cut on her arm, and she told them it was caused by her father striking her with the cord. When her father talked to the police, he reportedly said his daughter made him mad because she would not get out of bed and go to church.

A Florida man believed to have called 911 at least 45 times in six months was arrested for allegedly making a false bomb threat and assaulting the responding police officers.

On September 11, a man in Melbourne called 911 and reportedly told the dispatcher he planned to use a homemade explosive device to blow up a local causeway. The dispatcher believed they recognized his voice as an individual who had called approximately 45 times in a six month period. The report was still taken seriously, and law enforcement from the City of Melbourne Police headed to the location.

The caller stayed on the phone with the dispatcher, and according to the police report, he claimed he had previously blown up other causeways, had an AK-47 and other guns, and kills for a living. It was additionally noted that he said he was affiliated with a street gang and the mob. When officers got to the location, they reported that they spotted a man sitting on a bench that they had encountered before, and they believed he was the person who called 911. They also noticed an open can of Bud Ice on the bench, and they assumed it belonged to him. When the suspect was being taken into custody, he allegedly became combative and threatened to harm the officers.

A Southern California man was arrested after he called 911 several times, and the responding officers reportedly found him intoxicated and sitting in the driver’s seat of his vehicle.

Early in the morning on October 19, a man in San Marino was sitting in his car when he made a series of calls to 911. The dispatcher believed he sounded upset, and officers from the San Marino Police Department worked on finding him to see what was going on. The man had called four times before they came across his vehicle, and when the officers first spotted him, they reported that he seemed disturbed and stressed out. He was also sitting behind the wheel.

According to reports, when the officers began interacting with him, he told them he was sick and needed assistance, and they called San Marino Fire Department paramedics to the scene, and the police reported that the man smelled strongly of spirits and displayed several indicators of intoxication.  While peering at the inside of the car, the officers reportedly saw an open bottle of what appeared to be alcohol. They asked the man to take roadside sobriety tests, and he reportedly consented. When he failed to complete the exercises to the satisfaction of the officers, they determined that he was drunk.

A woman who reported someone for showing up at her residence and making threats to harm her was arrested when the police determined she falsified the claims against the man, who they believed she had never met before.

Just after midnight on June 16, 911 Emergency Assistance received a call from a woman in Iowa City who said she needed help from the police. She told them that she was pregnant with the child of a man she was no longer dating, and he was outside sending text messages that indicated he was going to harm her. She added that the man had a history of violent behavior.

Officers went to the residence and noticed a man walking away from the building. They started talking to him, and according to the police report, he said he never met the woman in person. He informed them that they began talking approximately a week ago on Snapchat. He said he had also been sending SMS messages and showed them his message history. The officers believed the content confirmed his statement regarding the situation.

A man who went into the bathroom at a Florida Walmart store reportedly found someone’s cell phone and allegedly used it to make a false report to the authorities, saying there was a bomb at the location.

On the afternoon of January 12, a man in a Port Charlotte Walmart entered the bathroom. While there, he reportedly discovered a cell phone sitting out, but no one else was in the restroom. The man had allegedly seen several videos on TikTok showing people going into stores and calling in fake bomb threats. He reportedly dialed 911, and after a dispatcher answered he said there was a bomb in the store. It was noted in the police report that he ended the call by saying “tic toc tic toc.”

Law enforcement from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office went to the location to investigate. When they arrived, they saw the rightful owner of the phone, and he told them he was able to digitally track the device’s location to the Walmart bathroom where he had been shortly before the call was placed.

A man from Wyoming who was making his way to California allegedly hijacked a car, called 911 several times for a tow truck, and got naked on the interstate to prove he was unarmed when police arrived.

On the morning of August 23, 911 received a slew of calls from someone who wanted the assistance of a tow truck because his tires were punctured. The caller was informed he was not to use 911 for that reason since it is not considered an emergency. The police went to the caller’s location to check on them, and they said the tires on the vehicle were fine.

Right after the police left, the man allegedly called 911 again, and officers returned. They reported that they saw the man in the middle of the street trying to get vehicles to stop for him. When one of the drivers stopped their car, he entered it, and reportedly told the driver to go to the nearest police department.

Three New York men are facing drug charges after the police responded to their 911 call and found 83 pounds of marijuana that the authorities believed belonged to them. 

On January 13, three men were traveling together in a vehicle in Breezewood. 

According to reports, the driver wanted the passengers to get out of the car. The man said when he asked them to get out, they would not.

A Florida man was accused of using 911 without having a legitimate emergency when he reportedly called the number because his girlfriend wanted to eat Sour Patch Kids candy. 

37-year-old Joshua Larson lives in Madeira Beach, Florida. 

Just before midnight on July 16, Larson was at his home with his girlfriend. It was reported that the woman told Larson that she wanted to eat Sour Patch Kids candy.

A Florida man was arrested after allegedly placing several calls to 911 with requests that the authorities release the drug lord El Chapo and incarcerate President Biden. 

Early in the morning on May 8, someone later identified as 29-year-old Jacob Ryan Philbeck placed a call to 911, and Pasco County Sheriff’s Office deputies spoke to the man. 

According to reports, the caller wanted to let the authorities know that the drug lord El Chapo should be freed from incarceration. Philbeck also reportedly informed them that President Joe Biden should be placed in prison.

A couple is facing charges for endangerment after their baby was found in medical distress from choking on what was reported to be fentanyl. 

27-year-old Echo Dunn and 38-year-old Robert Pilgram have a 7-month-old son, and they live in Bethel, Maine. 

It was reported that on March 3, 911 received a call from someone that wanted to report that their child was choking on something.
