After investigating a felon for weeks, the authorities found and arrested a man who had many active warrants both federally and in more than one state, in addition to newly incurred charges. 

It was reported that law enforcement with the Parsons, Kansas Police Department has had an open investigation for several weeks trying to track down a known felon from Columbus, Kansas. 

The man, who is 43 years old, has several active felony arrest warrants. He is wanted in Labette County, Kansas, for aggravated kidnapping and domestic battery. The state of Missouri issued a warrant for a parole/probation violation, and he is wanted by the U.S. Marshal Service for possession of a weapon by a felon.

A North Carolina woman was arrested and charged after she allegedly abused her 5-year-old stepson and left the child with third-degree burns, in addition to reportedly trying to castrate him.

On July 29, a 33-year-old stepmother brought her adopted 5-year-old stepson to the emergency room at the Wilson Medical Center because he had sustained severe burns.

The burns were diagnosed as third-degree, and it was suspected that they were caused by abuse. The child also had bruises and injuries on his head, face, arms, legs, back, and genitals.

A man in Colorado was arrested after his parents told the police that they believed he was the suspect they were seeking in a case involving the attempted kidnapping of a 10-year-old girl.

On the morning of September 23, a 10-year-old girl attending the STEM Launch School in Thornton was sitting outside the building on the steps after her mom dropped her off.

According to reports, a man driving a gray Saturn Aura parked near the front of the building. When he got out of the car, he allegedly walked up to the youngster.

An Orange County man was arrested after allegedly following a woman off the bus and strangling her in what the authorities believe was a sexually motivated attack. 

Just after midnight on September 8, a 19-year-old woman was a passenger on an OCTA bus. It was reported that she was returning home after working a shift at her job. 

When the woman got off the bus, she began walking home and a man allegedly started to follow behind her.

A man in Oregon was accused of kidnapping and raping a 13-year-old girl from Canada who was reportedly found at his home after she was missing for over a week. 

It was reported by the Edmonton Police Service that on June 24, a 13-year-old girl was marked absent from school. She also did not return to her home in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada after the school day had ended. The teen’s family reported her missing. 

The Canadian authorities, along with the FBI and U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, began to try to find the young girl.

A 13-year-old girl who was missing for days was reportedly found at a truck stop in Wyoming in a semi-truck with a man that she met using Oculus. 

On March 8, a 13-year-old girl from Roosevelt, Utah, was reported missing to the authorities. 

The Utah Internet Crimes Against Children task force, the FBI, the State Bureau of Investigations, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Uintah County Sheriff’s Office worked together to try to find the teenager quickly.

A teenager reportedly became infuriated and tried to murder a boy that made a purportedly derogatory comment about his sister.

A 16-year-old boy from Leesburg, Florida, reportedly had a violent encounter with another boy on the evening of July 2.

According to his parents, the boy left home to go for a ride on his bicycle.

A man allegedly holding a neighbor’s child captive in his basement and abusing her was caught by police, who asserted that he had intentions of murdering the girl.

On the evening of April 19, police in Lafayette, Indiana, were called by a concerned parent about her 9-year-old girl that had been missing for over half an hour.

When speaking with the parents about the situation, they reportedly told the authorities that the only person who had mentioned seeing their daughter was their neighbor, James Brian Chadwell II.
