A woman who is suspected of shoplifting from an Arkansas Walmart while wearing a cow costume allegedly used an appendage on the suit to make an unkind comment to a responding officer.

A security camera inside of a Walmart in Pine Bluff reportedly recorded a woman dressed in a cow costume while in the act of trying to steal Flonase allergy medicine by concealing it in her jacket pocket.

After the suspect and a person that she was shopping in the store with were seen going through the self-checkout they were stopped by the authorities as they were leaving the building.

A pastor from Bridges of Hope Community Church in Minnesota witnessed a couple of teenagers shoplifting snacks from a local grocery store. The way in which he attempt to intervene has earmed him accusations of impersonating a police officer, using pepper spray and becoming physically aggressive with the victims.

Abraam Rodriguez and his cousin went to the store on September 4, and his cousin was seen stealing cereal and fruit snacks worth approximately $10. The man who witnessed them leave the store without paying for the items was identified as Keith Douglas Haskell, the pastor of a church in Owatonna, MN.

Haskell decided to follow the teens to the parking lot and tried to record their license plate number unsuccessfully. He then allegedly continued to pursue them after they pulled away in their SUV.

A 29 year old man, the suspect of a yearlong shoplifting spree, was arrested at his Santa Ana home on Tuesday after police served a search warrant and found thousands of dollars’ worth of merchandise.

The suspect repeatedly terrorized retailers and their employees in several Orange County cities while using a replica gun to steal high end merchandise. At his home police found what they believe to be stolen merchandise, including: Gucci and Michael Kors handbags, children’s clothes, and perfumes. The police also found drug paraphernalia in the home. They were all stolen Cpl. Anthony Bertagna of the Santa Ana police department said.

Police also found a syringe and a bent spoon used for injecting heroin.

Several Ulta beauty stores have been hit by thieves all around the Southern California area, including the Cerritos, Lakewood, Tustin, Rosemead, Redondo Beach, and The Rolling Hills Estates stores. Stores are claiming estimated loss of $100,000.

Seargant Mark Moffet of the Lomita Sheriff’s Department has said the thieves operated in what he called a “mob style.” They would enter the store as a group, spread out and stuff as much merchandise in their pockets as they could, and then rush out before police had a chance to arrive.

An eight person team hit the Rolling Hills Estates store, where officers were able to identify a known gang member as one of the suspects. “Once we identified some players, the flood gates opened up,” Sergeant Moffet said.

With the holidays approaching, more shoppers will come out in force to pick up a holiday gift for their loved ones. Understandably, retailers will be keeping a closer eye on their products to ensure that the shoppers don’t become shoplifters.

Shoppers can unwittingly become victims of the criminal justice system, even if they’re not shoplifters. High-end retailers have been under recent scrutiny for acts of discrimination against potential buyers, in one circumstance even telling a black woman that she would not be able to afford the item she was looking at, before the clerk realized she was Oprah Winfrey.
